Son Goku vs. Vegeta

Son Goku heard him and immediately glanced at Vegeta.

"Vegeta, your companion is still alive. If you leave now, I'll let you go!"

"Let us go!"

Vegeta burst into laughter, as if he'd just heard the biggest joke in the world.

"Kakarot, don't think you can act arrogant in front of me just because you have a little strength!

"To tell you the truth, my battle power is several times higher than that guy's!"

"Se... several times higher!"

Krillin and the others looked shocked.

Son Gohan, meanwhile, watched Vegeta as if he were enjoying a show.

If Son Gohan had stepped in, he could have killed Vegeta with a single move.

He chose not to because he wanted to let Son Goku and Vegeta have the fight they'd been hoping for.

"Se... several times higher!"

Although Son Goku was holding back some of his strength, his Kaio-ken could only boost him to twice his power at most. Unless... he ignored the strain on his body and increased the multiplier further.

But if he did that, his body would soon be unable to take it.

"That's right, Kakarot. Are you scared?"

Son Goku smiled.

"If I were really scared, I wouldn't be fighting you!"

"Fair enough!"

As he spoke, Vegeta fired a blue energy wave from his right hand at the huge boulder pinning Nappa down.

Boom!!

With a tremendous explosion, Nappa and the boulder on top of him were blown to pieces.

A cloud of dust and smoke billowed up from the ground.

"I, Vegeta, have no use for worthless trash!"

Krillin and the others stared in horror.

They hadn't expected Vegeta to kill one of his own.

Son Goku saw what happened and clenched his fists.

Vegeta chuckled, then flew to the small peak behind him.

Son Goku immediately flew to the peak opposite Vegeta.

The two peaks were only a few meters apart.

A breeze swept through, ruffling their hair.

"You should feel honored. Elite Warriors like me rarely lower ourselves to fight low-class warriors!"

Vegeta crossed his arms and spoke to Son Goku with a smile.

"Saiyans are tested for their warrior potential as soon as they're born. If a child is judged to be too weak, they're sent to a place without powerful enemies, just like you!"

"You're a certified idiot!"

Son Goku didn't get angry. Instead, he smiled faintly.

"Thanks to you, I was sent to this planet. I really ought to thank you!

"Besides, the line between genius and idiot is thin. With enough hard work, even a nobody can surpass a top student!"

Vegeta sneered.

"What an amusing joke. Then let me show you the gulf that no amount of effort can bridge!"

As he spoke, Vegeta shifted into a fighting stance.

Son Goku did the same.

Breezes blew in from every direction, stirring the air around them.

Suddenly, Son Goku clenched his fists, stepped forward with his right foot, and darted toward Vegeta's peak.

"Ha!"

With a loud shout, Son Goku's fists flew toward Vegeta like the wind.

Vegeta raised both arms to block, knocking Son Goku's attacks off course.

Son Goku drew back his fists, then attacked again with a flurry of blows.

Vegeta raised his arms, blocking with one hand while striking back with the other.

After dozens of exchanges, Vegeta sprang backward and landed several peaks away.

"Whoosh..."

Son Goku immediately gave chase.

Vegeta chuckled, planted his right foot hard against the peak behind him, and shot toward Son Goku. He met him head-on and drove his right fist forward.

Thud!!

Vegeta's punch struck Son Goku hard in the face, sending him flying backward.

Just before Son Goku could crash into the mountain behind him, he planted both feet against the ground and shot up into the air.

Son Goku looked around. Suddenly, Vegeta appeared behind him and swung the edge of his right hand at him.

"Whoosh..."

Son Goku dropped down, spun around, and kicked at Vegeta.

Vegeta stepped back, dodging the kick.

Then the two fought in the sky, trading punches and kicks at blinding speed.

"Whoosh..."

Thud! Thud! Thud!!

After dozens of exchanges, Vegeta sped up and slammed both fists into Son Goku's body.

Son Goku cried out in pain, his body dipping slightly.

"Whoosh..."

At that moment, Vegeta appeared above him and brought his clasped hands down like a hammer.

Thud!!

With a thunderous impact, Son Goku shot downward like a beam of light.

Just before he hit a small peak, Son Goku flipped backward and landed on the peak behind him.

Vegeta landed immediately on the peak in front of him.

"He's incredible. He hasn't even been taking this seriously from the start. He's far faster than me, and his fighting ability is on another level!"

Son Goku couldn't help admiring the confident Vegeta before him.

"Hurry up and attack. Don't tell me you've run out of strength already?"

"I get it. I'll show you..."

As he spoke, Son Goku clenched his fists. Waves of heat poured off his body, and his skin turned red.

Then a red aura flared around him.

"Kaio-ken!"

Son Goku raised his right hand, and a brilliant red light glowed in his palm.

Vegeta's eyes widened, and he leaped into the air.

With a deafening boom, more than half the peak where Vegeta had been standing was blown away.

Son Goku instantly became a streak of red light and charged after Vegeta in the sky.

Thud!!

Son Goku drove his right fist into Vegeta's face, snapping his head backward.

Seizing the opportunity, Son Goku unleashed dozens of rapid punches at Vegeta's face.

Then he raised his right leg and kicked Vegeta away.

Bang!!

Son Goku clenched his fists, landed on the ground, and charged toward Vegeta as he flew through the air.

Just then, Vegeta vanished in a flash and appeared in front of Son Goku. He swung his right leg up and kicked Son Goku hard in the chin.

The Kaio-ken aura around Son Goku vanished, and he flew backward.

Sweat streamed down Son Goku's face as he stared at Vegeta gravely.

Vegeta smiled faintly.

"If this is your limit, you're a huge disappointment!"
