Half a Jinchuriki

"The first method is to use Sealing Jutsu to seal away foreign chakra, then use the seal to help control it."

"Sealing Jutsu?"

Qiangu suddenly realized something. Weren't the methods those bosses used to draw on foreign chakra basically all Sealing Jutsu? Was Jiraiya going to teach him Sealing Jutsu? That didn't seem like Jiraiya's style.

"Yeah. Sealing Jutsu is the most common method, and in theory, the most widely applicable. It's just..."

Jiraiya shook his head.

"But this method isn't suitable for you. You need a high level of skill in Yin-Yang Release to control foreign chakra, and you especially need a suitable sealing array."

Jiraiya sighed softly. "Theoretically, with some of the materials I have, I might be able to design a suitable sealing array for you. But those materials belong to Konoha. Some of them even involve high-level secrets about how Konoha develops the power of the Tailed Beast. I can't give them to you."

Qiangu felt rather helpless. He really wanted to learn the Sealing Jutsu Jiraiya knew. Even later on, Sealing Jutsu remained incredibly useful, but he simply couldn't learn it.

For a moment, Qiangu felt frustrated. Jiraiya had all kinds of valuable techniques, yet he couldn't get his hands on a single one.

Setting aside his frustration, Qiangu asked, "What's the second method?"

"The second method is to use a weapon or some kind of device or secret technique to convert foreign chakra into pure chakra. But..."

"Clearly, you don't have the means or ability to do that yet. Maybe someday, with Nagato's sensitivity to chakra and his control over it, he'll be able to replenish anyone's chakra with ease. But he can't do that now."

"What about the third method?"

"The third is rather rare. I got the idea from Nagato, and I think it's the best fit for you."

As he spoke, Jiraiya took out a scroll.

"These are my findings from helping Nagato develop his Rinnegan over the past few days. After observing him, I realized he can absorb other people's chakra."

"Absorb chakra?"

Qiangu suddenly thought of something. Was it the Preta Path's ability? He knew Nagato could absorb someone else's chakra, but could he also give it back?

As Qiangu pondered this, Jiraiya continued, "From what I've observed, Nagato's five elemental chakra natures are highly adaptable. He can control foreign chakra and gradually break it down into his own. Even I can't control chakra that precisely. If he keeps developing this ability, it might lead to some unique techniques."

It was true that Jiraiya had been giving Nagato some extra attention these past few days. But that made sense. There wasn't much Qiangu and the others could teach him beyond a few ninjutsu.

Nagato was different. Anyone would be curious to see the legendary Rinnegan, and the more Jiraiya studied it, the more he realized its potential was practically limitless. Over the past few days, he'd already uncovered a few of its minor abilities.

Qiangu even suspected that some of the techniques Nagato developed in the future might be based on ideas Jiraiya had taught him.

"Of course, this is still far beyond what you can do right now. My initial idea is to have Nagato use his ability to freely convert chakra to imitate yours."

"Imitate my chakra?"

"Right. Some twins in the Ninja World can transfer chakra to each other. Their chakra natures and Yin-Yang balance are usually very similar, so their chakra doesn't reject one another. I think we can make use of that."

"In fact, some villages choose children whose chakra already resembles that of a Tailed Beast to become Jinchuriki. They pick children whose chakra is the closest match and whose rejection is the least severe, then use drugs and secret techniques to help them gradually adapt to the foreign chakra. Naturally, the mortality rate is very high."

"So it's dangerous?"

"Of course. Tailed Beast Chakra is extremely volatile. But your chakra should be relatively mild, so it shouldn't be that bad."

Jiraiya had Qiangu transfer his chakra into Nagato's body so Nagato could imitate it.

"In theory, he doesn't need to imitate it perfectly. It only needs to be similar enough to minimize the rejection. From there, you can gradually get used to it."

Nagato quickly began adjusting the proportions of Yin-Yang and the five elemental chakra natures, along with their precision. He repeatedly sent the imitated chakra into Qiangu's body and asked if he could tolerate it.

At first, the chakra acted so strangely that the two types clashed, making Qiangu feel a little uncomfortable.

But as Nagato continued to refine his technique, the rejection gradually lessened.

Finally, after a long while, Qiangu noticed that when Nagato's chakra entered his body, his own chakra no longer attacked it.

Closing his eyes, Qiangu could sense two types of chakra inside him.

One was his own, and the other belonged to Nagato. They still couldn't mix, and occasionally they rubbed against each other, but they were coexisting.

Was it a little like the way Naruto and the Nine-Tails Chakra got along?

Qiangu carefully tried using the chakra and realized it didn't resist him.

"Clone Technique!"

He quickly formed the hand seals using that chakra, and to his surprise, the technique worked.

Staring blankly at the clone in front of him, Qiangu asked, "It was that easy?"

"Haha." Jiraiya chuckled. "So it worked, just as I expected. But this is anything but easy."

He then listed the requirements for using the technique.

"First, you need someone with plenty of chakra who's willing to lend it to you. But most people barely have enough chakra for their own training, so why would they lend it to someone else?"

"Keep in mind that a lot of chakra is lost in the transfer, and it can only be converted from high precision to low precision. It's incredibly wasteful. If Nagato didn't have so much chakra, no one else could afford to use this technique. Honestly, at the rate Nagato's chakra is growing, it might surpass a Tailed Beast's in a few years. You need that much chakra to make this technique work."

"Besides Nagato, I haven't seen many people with the control to freely convert chakra natures like this. And with your unique chakra nature, I doubt there's anyone else in the entire Ninja World who could be a good match for you."

All right, after hearing Jiraiya explain it, Qiangu realized this really wasn't easy. Aside from Nagato, almost no one could pull it off.

Other people had to struggle to find a chakra match before they could adapt to foreign chakra. Some even had to risk their lives, like with Orochimaru's Cursed Seal, just to see if they could handle it. Nagato, on the other hand, could adapt to other people's chakra.

The Rinnegan didn't just let him cheat the system for himself. It could help other people cheat, too.

Whatever the case, Qiangu realized he no longer needed to worry about running out of chakra.

Did this mean he could enjoy the benefits of having an unlimited chakra supply, too?

Just look at Naruto to see how useful a massive amount of chakra could be. It was far better than most secret techniques or bloodline abilities.

Qiangu couldn't help feeling a little excited.

It was almost like being half a Jinchuriki!
