Finally Defeating a Powerful Enemy

He activated Body Control, doubling the size of his bulging muscles, and formed Hand Seals.

"Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Flower Nail Crimson!"

When using the Phoenix Sage Flower Technique, shuriken could be attached to the flames, sending them blazing in from all directions at high temperatures.

Hozuki Gensei gave a disdainful laugh at the incoming fire and swung Samehada, batting it all away.

He immediately gave the order to attack at full strength, pushing Samehada's chakra absorption to its limit. Everyone launched a relentless barrage.

Uzumaki Ashina withdrew his Adamantine Sealing Chains. His powerful chakra had been exhausted by the fierce battle. He braced his hands on his knees and panted as he stared at the smoke.

The smoke gradually cleared. Hozuki Gensei was half-kneeling on the ground, his upper-body clothing blasted to ashes and large areas of his body scorched.

"Haha! Your ninjutsu didn't do much at all. You only managed to make me bleed a little. Just watch how I repay you, you miserable vermin! Your chakra has filled Samehada right up!" He formed Hand Seals.

"Greatsword Samehada: Rapid Regeneration!"

The chakra stored in Samehada surged out at once. As it covered Hozuki Gensei's wounds, they gradually healed.

Elder Uzumaki Changqi stared at the scene before him. Their enemy was only one man, yet he was a monster. How were they supposed to deal with him? He murmured dazedly,

"The Uzumaki Clan has a way to deal with monsters: Sealing Technique: Dead Demon Consuming Seal."

Uzumaki Ashina got to his feet and steadied himself. He hated to admit it, but they stood no chance against Hozuki Gensei at full strength.

"Uzushio Ninja of the Land of Whirlpools, hear my command! I hereby appoint Uzumaki Shori as the new Uzukage!"

Uzumaki Kyokei found the Uzukage's order unbelievable and couldn't help questioning it.

"The battle has only just begun, Uzukage. Have you already resigned yourself to being killed by me?"

Hozuki Gensei wore a savage grin. His body had already healed halfway, and a rush of pleasure welled up inside him at the Uzumaki Clan's decision.

A deafening explosion followed. Hozuki Gensei and Uzumaki Shori were blasted away by the shock wave, but Shori's father caught him in his arms.

Hozuki Gensei slammed into a wall, the impact cracking it. Samehada's healing was also halted by the seal.

Unable to recover, he spat out blood and wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. He stared at the blood covering it.

"Damn you, Uzumaki vermin! You should've just let me deal with you! Why did you have to fight back?"

Uzumaki Shori steadied his father, then checked himself over. To his own surprise, he couldn't help laughing.

The Earth Wall Technique had blocked most of the shock wave, and his father had caught him, further lessening its force. His bulging muscles had provided a final defense, leaving him completely unharmed.

"Father, I've sealed the enemy's blades. Now's our best chance to attack."

Uzumaki Ashina fixed his eyes on the enemy, knowing he couldn't show any sign of weakness. Ignoring his depleted chakra, he pushed his body past its limits and formed Hand Seals.

"Sealing Technique: Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

The chains shot toward Hozuki Gensei. Five of them drew closer and closer, all aimed at vital points.

Hozuki Gensei saw that his opponents hadn't weakened at all. His face twisted with fury as he glared at Uzumaki Shori.

"You damn Uzumaki vermin! The next time we meet on the battlefield, just you wait. Without these people helping you, you'll learn the consequences of ruining my plans!"

Hozuki Gensei swept his gaze over everyone, memorizing their faces, then formed Hand Seals.

"Summoning Technique: Reverse Summoning!"

Uzumaki Ashina watched his opponent get summoned away, then quietly walked to the wall and sat down against it.

He watched his clansmen cheering and finally let his tense heart settle. He breathed a sigh of relief, and his chakra-depleted body collapsed as he relaxed.

Uzumaki Shori looked happily at his father, but when he saw him fall, he shouted,

"Medical ninja, hurry and treat my father!"
