Background

Herta originated as Yao Lan's first clone: a separate, physically real body sharing his consciousness rather than a conventional puppet. Her creation gave Yao Lan a feminine identity through which he could operate openly while keeping his original body concealed. Although modeled after a puppet-like form, she has no visible puppet joints and possesses a normal physical body within the Douluo world's rules. 3 6

Upon awakening Erudition, Herta immediately possessed innate level twenty Soul Power and the ability to calculate probable futures. She used this foresight to complete Spirit Refinement during a forging competition, deliberately following the predicted outcome in which she would collapse from Soul Power exhaustion and be accepted by Mu Chen as his personal disciple. 3 6

Mu Chen and Yuan Bao'er subsequently accepted Herta into their family as their daughter. She later accepted Leng Yaozhu's offer to join the Spirit Transfer Pagoda as a Reserve Spirit Transfer Envoy, recognizing the value of its resources and protection. 8 15

Her rapid growth made East Sea Academy unable to educate her conventionally. After mastering its curriculum, developing her own Soul Skills, and outclassing nearly all students and teachers, she studied under God Craftsman Zhen Hua.
