The Third Eye of God... Yin Release?

"Shizuka, this Eye of God is yours."

After dinner, Uchiha Arashi created a third Eye of God and handed it to Uchiha Shizuka.

Among her younger siblings, Shizuka was one of the youngest, but she had made the most progress. She was only old enough to be in her second year at the Ninja Academy, yet she had already just about reached Izumi's graduation standard.

Of course, she still fell short of students who had graduated from the Ninja Academy through the regular program. The main issue was that her body was still developing, and even her chakra reserves were a little lower. But she had a firm grasp of ninja knowledge and had already learned several ninjutsu.

Her learning ability left all her other siblings in the dust, making her the second to receive an Eye of God.

"Yay!"

Shizuka cheered and ran over to Uchiha Arashi, reaching out to take the Eye of God.

Almost the instant she took it, the crystal at its center began to glow, and a pattern no one had ever seen appeared inside.

"Arashi, my eyes... They feel itchy."

But Shizuka wasn't paying attention to the Eye of God. She kept blinking, tears trickling from the corners of her eyes.

The discomfort must have been unbearable, because she instinctively raised a hand to rub her eyes.

Uchiha Arashi immediately reached out to stop her.

"Don't touch them. Just bear with it for now."

Uchiha Arashi was surprised, too. He crouched down a little and studied Shizuka's eyes intently, remembering to activate his Mangekyo.

As he watched, it was clear that something unusual was happening to Shizuka's eyes. Her pupils were shifting rapidly, repeatedly contracting and dilating, while a vast amount of chakra welled up from deep within her brain and continuously flowed into both eyes.

Clearly, her eyes were undergoing some kind of wondrous change.

Shizuka was about to awaken her Sharingan!

Uchiha Arashi reached that conclusion at once, then couldn't help feeling a little envious. Just look at this little girl—she was awakening her Sharingan at such a young age. And then look at him. He was already so old, and his eyes still hadn't budged. Even now, he had to use someone else's Sharingan in battle.

There was no doubt that Shizuka was one of the top talents of the next generation of the Uchiha.

It was just a pity that in the original story, she died on the night of the massacre, never getting the chance to fulfill her potential.

But that wouldn't happen in this life. He would protect her, help her grow, and let her realize her full potential.

The changes continued. Everyone else held their breath, tensely watching Shizuka from behind.

A few minutes later, Shizuka's eyes finally stopped tearing up. She blinked, but her pupils remained pitch-black.

She hadn't managed to awaken her Sharingan.

Actually, that wasn't quite right. More accurately, Uchiha Shizuka had already completed the entire process of awakening. Her body just wasn't physically developed enough yet, so, to protect her, it had stopped her eyes from evolving further.

"How is Shizuka?"

Izumi asked from beside them.

Uchiha Arashi explained his assessment.

"Arashi, are you saying I failed to awaken it?"

As for everyone else's reactions, Uchiha Shizuka's small face was filled with disappointment after hearing Uchiha Arashi's explanation.

"No, you succeeded. Your body is just holding you back. Don't worry, you're still so young, and you're still growing. Once your body is strong enough, your eyes will awaken on their own."

Just like Sasuke.

There was no need to explain how talented Sasuke was. He was a descendant of Indra, and his talent was every bit as great as Madara Uchiha's. He had also been spurred into awakening his Sharingan on the night of the massacre. Yet over the next few years, he never showed it, and even Sasuke himself didn't know that he had already awakened it.

It wasn't until the mission in the Land of Waves, when he thought Naruto had died and was overcome with emotion, that his Sharingan appeared again.

Shizuka was much like Sasuke, only half a year older than him. Whether or not her talent could match Sasuke's, even if it could, she wouldn't truly awaken her Sharingan this early.

But he couldn't say any of that, so he carefully explained his assessment to the little girl, laying out the relationship between the eyes and the body in detail.

Once she was sure she hadn't failed, the little girl finally broke into a happy smile.

"Let me see your Eye of God."

Uchiha Arashi took Shizuka's Eye of God from her.

The crystal at its center was now a dark purple, with a Tomoe-shaped icon in the middle.

"An Eye of God with Yin Release. I've never seen this attribute before. It looks like it should enhance Yin Release Chakra, help awaken the Sharingan, and aid with using ocular techniques later on... if Shizuka can awaken the Mangekyo."

The original attributes of the Eyes of God were Anemo, Pyro, Hydro, Cryo, Electro, Dendro, and Geo, corresponding to the seven elements of The Seven in Teyvat. The Ninja World had neither The Seven nor elemental energy, so in addition to helping their wielders master the forces of nature more quickly, the Eyes of God also corresponded to the seven chakra natures: Water, Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, Yin, and Yang.

Uchiha Arashi had already made a similar deduction, but he had no proof at the time. The first two Eyes of God he had created corresponded to Fire and Lightning, so he hadn't been sure whether his theory was right.

Now it seemed he'd been completely right.

An Eye of God with Yin Release could strengthen Yin Release Chakra and enhance spiritual power, making it well suited to the Uchiha. An Eye of God with Yang Release would, as expected, correspond to Yang Release Chakra. It would also be well suited to the Uchiha, especially those with the Mangekyo.

Unfortunately, this Eye of God belonged to Shizuka and was already bound to her soul. It wouldn't work even if someone else wore it.

"Put it on. Remember to keep it safe. Don't lose it, and don't damage it..."

Uchiha Arashi gave her the usual reminders.

He had said the same thing when Ayatsuki received her Eye of God.

Actually, there was little need to worry too much about losing or damaging it.

If she simply lost the Eye of God, she would lose its benefits at most. Nothing else would happen.

The problem with Inazuma's Vision Hunt Decree was that the Statue of the Omnipresent God contained Ei's will. As a god, she could naturally influence the Eyes of God beneath her. So those Eyes of God hadn't simply been lost; they had been taken away.

As for damage, that was even less of a concern. Up until the moment Uchiha Arashi had crossed over, he had never seen a case of an Eye of God being destroyed. Master Diluc had once tried to destroy his deceased father's Eye of God, but failed all the same. That showed that an Eye of God wasn't as simple as it looked. It was more like the embodiment of a concept, and ordinary means couldn't destroy it.

He said all this simply to make Shizuka treasure her Eye of God even more.

But Uchiha Arashi seemed to have worried for nothing. As soon as he finished speaking, Shizuka found a cord and hung the Eye of God around her neck. It slipped right into her collar.
