Background

Arashi is a transmigrator who arrived in the ninja world more than a decade before the Uchiha massacre. He initially believed himself native-born, but recovered memories of his former life after witnessing his parents die during the Nine-Tails Incident. He subsequently spent years trying unsuccessfully to avert the Uchiha clan's destruction. 1

Before the massacre, he presented himself as an unambitious, weak Uchiha: a novelist who had not awakened the Sharingan, avoided missions, and had little presence in clan affairs. Izumi, who helped care for him after his parents died, regarded him as a younger brother despite being only one year older. 2

Knowing he could not change the massacre, Arashi prepared a long sword and the Shadow Space to preserve selected survivors and resources. During the extermination, he rescued Shizuka, Izumi, and several children, collected Sharingan from dead clansmen before Root could claim them, and later recovered secret techniques, documents, and assets from the emptied compound. 1 2 5

He established himself openly under the identity Senya Arashi, secured legal identities for Izumi and Ayatsuki, and used his position as a Reviewer to publish novels and operate the Uchiha bookstore. 21 24 26

Personality

Arashi is pragmatic, calculating, and willing to make harsh choices for the survival of the Uchiha bloodline. During the massacre, he chose whom to save based on potential and refused to expend limited Shadow Space capacity on Shizuka's parents. 1

He is intensely distrustful of Konoha's leadership and blames Fugaku's failures, Itachi's actions, and the village's political pressure for the clan's fall. His long-term aim is not merely escape, but preservation, retaliation, and building enough influence to challenge Konoha. 4 6 17

Despite his ruthlessness, Arashi is protective of the children and treats Izumi as family. He provides food, education, training, identities, and a future beyond hiding, while encouraging the survivors to become capable of defending themselves. 2 7 24
