Uchiha Arashi had prepared ample food and water in the Shadow Space, enough for him to live alone for three months.
Even with more people now, it was still enough for a month of living.
The slaughter outside had ended, but the night's events were far from over.
Root ninjas began to mobilize, searching for the masked man while collecting Sharingan. However, because Uchiha Arashi had already swept through the area beforehand, the number of eyes that fell into Danzo's hands this time was far less than originally planned. Coupled with the loss of Kotoamatsukami, Danzo had suffered a huge loss.
Konoha Anbu also entered the fray, but they were mostly there to clean up the aftermath; the Sharingan were not their objective.
A large number of Uchiha corpses needed to be dealt with, bloodstains within the clan compound needed to be washed away, and stability within the village needed to be maintained... in short, there were many tasks to be done.
Uchiha Arashi, along with a group of survivors, hid in the shadows of the clan compound, quietly observing everything outside, watching people come and go, gradually emptying out the Uchiha clan.
The clan's assets accumulated over a thousand years, secret techniques, land deeds, and scrolls all became Konoha's spoils of war.
During this process, Uchiha Arashi also quietly took action to recover some of them, especially the clan's secret technique scrolls.
He took advantage of the Anbu ninjas' inattention to empty out the studies and storerooms of several important figures within the clan, only stopping when the Shadow Space could no longer hold anything more. Yet, amusingly, when the Anbu ninjas saw the empty bookshelves and warehouses, they showed no surprise. They didn't even bother to inspect them closely, turning and heading to other locations instead.
"So the village really knows everything..."
Uchiha Izumi murmured blankly, looking at the items Arashi had brought back.
"How many times have I told you, Izumi-nee, even being naive has its limits."
Uchiha Arashi glanced at her, even starting to doubt if he had saved the right person.
"I know, it's just hard to believe for a moment."
Uchiha Izumi smiled bitterly and shook her head, then looked at Arashi, "What do we do next? Just hide here forever?"
"Of course not, we're not mice, how can we live in the shadows forever? Let's wait a bit longer, wait for this storm to pass, wait for the Konoha higher-ups to completely relax, then we can go out for some fresh air."
The biggest problem with the Shadow Space was its immobility, meaning they were trapped here. It was just that from the outside, people couldn't detect this place separated by a door.
But to leave, they could still only enter and exit through the main entrance.
If the Shadow Space could move, no, even if its area was larger, extending directly outside the clan compound, the situation would be much better.
And so, days passed. Uchiha Arashi spent most of his time monitoring the situation outside, but more of his time was dedicated to expanding the Shadow Space, which was simply too small.
Besides that, he continued to tell stories to the little ones, continuing to supplement their "understanding" power. This time, even Izumi, who had initially been completely uninterested, joined in, listening to the stories with great relish.
Izumi's most important job during this period was to soothe the emotions of the little ones and teach them ninjutsu.
They certainly couldn't go back to the Ninja Academy, but they still had to learn knowledge, and their strength had to be improved. Izumi had been a good student at the academy back then, and Uchiha Arashi felt very reassured with her tutoring these younger siblings.
Thus, without realizing it, a week had passed.
Outside.
Sasuke finally left the hospital.
Walking through the clan compound, which resembled a ghost realm, Sasuke's heart was filled with a dead silence.
"Dad, Mom... and, Itachi..."
His eyes flickered with a bit of life before quickly sinking back into silence.
He didn't want to recall the events of that night, but he couldn't forget them. Whenever he closed his eyes, the image of his parents lying in a pool of blood would appear before him.
"Revenge... death... revenge... death..."
Simple and pure hatred began to fill his heart.
"I want to become stronger, I want to get revenge, I want to kill him!"
The seed of hatred grew rapidly, and finally, the aura around Sasuke changed slightly, no longer just filled with a dead stillness.
He began to have motivation, something he wanted and needed to do.
From this perspective, Itachi's plan seemed to be proceeding quite smoothly.
From a distant corner, Uchiha Arashi curled his lips as he watched Sasuke's retreating back.
In the end, he was just a local who couldn't break free from his own limitations, ending up aligning with Konoha and actively helping them solve problems.
His so-called revenge was merely a matter of magnifying the small.
He withdrew his gaze and looked at the distant sunset, taking a deep breath.
"Let's go, there's still something to do."
He said to Izumi beside him.
Izumi was still staring at Sasuke.
"Itachi's brother..."
"Do you want to meet him? Perhaps he knows more about Itachi's information."
Uchiha Arashi teased.
"No need."
Izumi calmly shook her head. "It's meaningless whether I ask or not. I'm no match for Itachi, and I don't think this little guy knows anything."
"So, have you really thought it through?"
"Yes, he killed Mother and our clan. I must get revenge with my own hands."
Izumi said in a low voice.
Her tone was devoid of any emotion, but Arashi could feel the terrifying power hidden beneath her calm.
"That's good. I was worried you'd still have feelings for him and wouldn't be able to go through with it."
He said with a smile.
The only response he received was a roll of her eyes.
"Don't treat me like an idiot blinded by love. I won't put my personal feelings above the hatred of the entire clan. The crimes Uchiha Itachi committed must be paid for in blood."
Uchiha Izumi tossed her long hair and strode forward. At some point, her eyes had turned red, and the three tomoe within had vanished, replaced by a completely new pattern she had never seen before.
Uchiha Arashi, following behind, smiled and walked after her.
His right eye had also turned red at this moment, the Kotoamatsukami he had stolen. However, the red vanished in an instant, and his eye returned to its normal black.
In the distance, Sasuke suddenly stopped, looking thoughtfully at the spot where the two had been standing.
This departure from the Shadow Space was their first official outing since the clan massacre.
The little ones were still left in the space, and it would be inconvenient to move around with them, so they had to be asked to hold on a little longer.
The village's control over the Uchiha compound had long been lifted, otherwise, they wouldn't have allowed Sasuke to return.
So, in theory, as long as they didn't reveal their Sharingan or were recognized by acquaintances, Uchiha Arashi and Uchiha Izumi could move around the village relatively safely.
Of course, they had to maintain the Transformation Jutsu at all times. Fortunately, as long as they didn't run headfirst into Kakashi or other ninjas skilled in sensory abilities, it wouldn't be a big problem.
