Background / History

The Senju are one of the two undisputed leading clans in the Land of Fire, alongside the Uchiha. Their power, comparatively gentle reputation, and protection work distinguish them from their rivals, who primarily undertake assassination missions. 3 12

The clan operates during the Warring States period, when missions, warfare, and the seizure of resources shape inter-clan politics. The Senju use war both to answer attacks and to gain territory, wealth, prisoners, and influence. Their campaign against the declining Onmyo Clan, officially launched to avenge Senju Zhenyang, is explicitly tied to the acquisition of resources. 15

The Senju maintain active fronts against the Uchiha, Kaguya, and other hostile forces. Their southern border is comparatively secure due to their kinship with the Uzumaki Clan, while the clan head and major elders oversee the northern, eastern, and western battlefields. 15 47
