Bai Ye’s parents were murdered in 2003 over gambling debts and high-interest loans. At age eleven, he was moved from Liuhe Alley to Chinatown and adopted into a gang environment, an upbringing later treated as central to his decisive and violent character. 247

At eighteen, Bai Ye realizes he has transmigrated and receives the Deep Blue Stat Panel.
