"You bastard, give me back my clothes!"
Sasuko looked furious; if she hadn't just been instantly defeated, she would have charged over right then and there.
"I burned your clothes for you. You can choose to go back naked to change, or just head home wearing that outfit. Honestly, don't you look better like this than before?"
Looking at the Sasuko before him, Chen found it truly hilarious.
He had to admit, Izumi's makeup skills were excellent. It wasn't heavy or gaudy, yet it gave Sasuko a certain alluring charm.
Chen couldn't help but wonder if this was what Sasuko would look like if she were actually a woman.
"I..."
Sasuko felt like crying but had no tears. Making her cross half of Konoha dressed as a girl to get home was worse than death.
Furthermore, she was worried about her brother finding out; if he ended up hating her because of this, she would be completely finished.
"If you want to leave, go ahead. I won't stop you. I'm going to start my training."
With that, Chen began his own cultivation, ignoring Sasuko's predicament entirely.
"I suddenly feel like this is quite interesting. Should I issue a few missions for you to keep toying with Sasuko?"
The system's voice rang out; clearly, the mischievous system had no intention of ending the fun just yet.
"Forget it. If you issue missions, it loses all the fun. Things like this are better when they happen spontaneously."
"I suppose that's true. Carry on with your fun, then."
"System, can my Zanpakuto really achieve Shikai? Or do I need your help to complete the process?"
Chen had possessed the Asauchi for several months now, yet he hadn't sensed a shred of consciousness from it.
Given that this was the Naruto World and not the Bleach World, Chen couldn't help but suspect that his Zanpakuto could only be awakened through the system.
"Zanpakuto are unique; they rely solely on your own power. Even I cannot assist you. After all, this thing is essentially your own soul. While I could interfere, it wouldn't be a good thing for you."
The system spoke with rare seriousness, and Chen nodded in understanding.
"Besides, there's no need to be so anxious. The power of a Zanpakuto isn't something gained overnight. Furthermore, your current strength isn't weak; you're only a hair's breadth away from the level of a Chunin."
"Uh... seriously? I'm not even at Chunin level yet?"
Chen looked puzzled. After all, he had successfully escaped encounters with Orochimaru and Kakashi; surely he should at least be at the level of a Jonin.
"Indeed, you aren't. If you were talking about a Chunin recognized by any random ninja village, then sure, you've reached that. But by my standards, you're still far off."
"Fine, you're the boss. Can you tell me what I'm lacking?"
"Ninjutsu and experience. Your Taijutsu is also a bit low."
Hearing the system's words, Chen couldn't help but feel like the system was messing with him.
"By my assessment, although you can use powerful Ninjutsu, you don't know how to unleash the best technique at the optimal moment. Simply put, you only know how to cast them, not when. As for experience, I naturally mean combat experience—I think you can feel that yourself. Regarding Taijutsu, you only possess basic skills, and since you merely know them rather than having mastered them, it further weakens your combat ability. As for your fights with Kakashi and Orochimaru, the truth is that they didn't really view you as a genuine threat. Kakashi took it a bit more seriously, but that guy can't be used as a standard for evaluation."
"Why is that? Even though Kakashi is jokingly called 'The Copy Ninja who goes 50/50,' his actual strength isn't weak."
"You know he's called '50/50' for a reason. He has a passive skill: he forces every fight into a stalemate. Aside from cannon fodder, he goes 50/50 with everyone he fights."
Hearing the system's words, Chen froze in place.
So it turned out that the "50/50" skill was actually real. He wondered what Kakashi would think if he knew about this.
"Young man, this world isn't as simple as you think. The Naruto World you know is only a fraction of the truth. After all, how could a manga possibly construct a complete world? Moreover, your arrival is an anomaly, which has caused some changes to occur. So, young man, strive to become stronger."
"I understand the logic, but why did an image of a chicken suddenly pop into my head? Don't tell me your true form is actually a chicken?"
"Say that one more time, and I swear I'll hack you to pieces!"
The system flew into a rage, and Chen decisively chose to shut his mouth.
Knowing what his shortcomings were, Chen began to train diligently.
He released a Shadow Clone; the original body began to study ninjutsu, while the Shadow Clone began to practice it.
As for the mission to find Itachi, Chen had no intention of continuing it.
After all, Itachi's mission this time was to leave the village; even if he chased after him, he wouldn't be able to explain how he had left, so he simply gave up.
Fortunately, the penalty for failing the mission wasn't too much of a pitfall.
Time passed bit by bit. When Chen finally snapped out of his training, it was already noon, and that guy Sasuko was looking at Chen from not far away with a face full of resentment.
Because she was still wearing women's clothing, Sasuko looked exactly like a jilted woman who had been abandoned.
Seeing such a scene, Chen's mood, which had been soured by the system, instantly improved significantly.
"Why haven't you gone back? Do you like staying with me that much?"
"You! I certainly do not! How am I supposed to walk around dressed like this!"
Sasuko really wanted to strangle Chen, but her own strength wouldn't allow it.
"Is that so? If nothing goes wrong, Shisui will be here in a while. He is Itachi's good friend, after all; if he sees you like this, he'll likely tell Itachi."
"No, that won't do! Do you have any other clothes?"
"Huh? Do you think anyone would run around carrying several sets of clothes? Second Pillar, if you're really afraid of being recognized, you could find something to cover your head. That way, even if people see you, they won't know who it is. Doesn't that solve the problem?"
Hearing Chen's words, Sasuko felt it made a lot of sense.
However, this was Training Ground No. 7; where would there be any random things to cover her head with?
In the end, Chen very kindly took out a cardboard box and handed it to Sasuko.
With the cardboard box, Sasuko immediately left and headed in the direction of home.
"Hey, you're just letting her leave like that?"
The system spoke with some confusion, but Chen did not answer the system; he just quietly followed Sasuko from a distance.
Traveling from Training Ground No. 7 to the Uchiha Clan compound required passing through the most bustling street in Konoha. Just as Sasuko reached the street:
"Uchiha Sasuke!"
Chen shouted loudly, and Sasuko, hearing someone call her name, instinctively stopped and turned back to look.
And so, everyone on the entire street knew that the person wearing a cardboard box was named Uchiha Sasuke.
"Uchiha Sasuke, why is a boy like you wearing women's clothes out in public?"
(System: Who said this guy was kind? Damn it, he's even more ruthless than I am.)
