The Scroll of Sealing

What had happened in the Land of Rain did not spread widely in Konoha, and the other great nations knew nothing of the battle that had taken place there.

Although Konoha and the other parties had not signed a peace treaty, the scale of the conflict had not grown. If anything, it had diminished.

Peace had arrived.

Time passed. A month later, the election for Konoha's Fourth Hokage began as scheduled.

The process was neither complicated nor particularly grand.

After giving a speech in the village, Third Hokage Hiruzen Sarutobi announced his retirement and the candidates for Fourth Hokage.

Next came the Jonin vote, which was essentially just a formality.

Nothing unexpected happened. Everything proceeded as smoothly as one might expect.

After the Jonin had cast their votes, the Yellow Flash, Minato Namikaze, defeated Orochimaru by an overwhelming margin and became Konoha's Fourth Hokage.

Finally, with the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire's approval, Hiruzen Sarutobi officially stepped down, and Minato Namikaze became Konoha's Fourth Hokage in the second half of Konoha Year 50.

After giving a grand speech in Konoha, Minato Namikaze officially took office as the Fourth Hokage. He took charge of the Shinobi World's most powerful hidden village and ascended to the pinnacle of power.

After becoming Hokage, Minato Namikaze immediately established his own Shadow Guard and Anbu.

Most of the Third Hokage's Anbu remained under his command. At this point, he had not completely handed over authority to Minato Namikaze. (This was shown in the manga.)

Building a new Anbu was no easy task. From selecting the members to training them, it couldn't be done in a day or two.

In the Hokage Office, Minato Namikaze sat in the Hokage's chair, staring blankly at the pile of documents on his desk. After a long while, he shook his head and sighed.

Becoming Hokage and taking charge of Konoha wasn't like he had imagined.

"There are too many constraints..." Remembering what had just happened, Minato Namikaze's golden hair seemed a little less bright.

Just moments ago, he had argued with Konoha's four advisors.

He had originally wanted to put members of the Uchiha Clan and the Hyuga Clan in the newly formed Anbu and build a team of his own.

But he had never expected Mitokado Homura, Shimura Danzō, Utatane Koharu, and Hiruzen Sarutobi to all openly oppose the idea. They had been extremely firm and visibly agitated.

They had even called the Uchiha Clan a naturally evil clan.

Minato Namikaze had been shocked to hear that.

"They've made enormous contributions to the village's prosperity, just like everyone else. How can the Third and the others think that way...?"

Minato Namikaze felt indignant, but also frustrated.

"Forget it. There's no need to rush this. I should keep my promise first." With that, Minato Namikaze rapped firmly on the desk.

An Anbu member wearing a mask appeared and knelt before the Hokage's desk.

Minato Namikaze ordered, "Go to the Uchiha Clan and ask Uchiha Akira to come to the Hokage Office."

"Yes, Lord Hokage." As soon as the Anbu member answered, he vanished.

Half an hour later, Uchiha Akira arrived at the Hokage Office and saw Minato Namikaze at work, writing up documents.

"Lord Hokage," Uchiha Akira greeted him first.

Hearing him, Minato Namikaze looked up with a warm smile. He took a massive scroll from his drawer and said, "This is the Scroll of Sealing. I promised you that you could choose any two jutsu from it."

"Take a look and decide what you want. Once you've chosen, tell me, and I'll undo the seal." As he spoke, Minato Namikaze slid the Scroll of Sealing across the polished desk.

"Thank you, Lord Hokage." Hearing this reminded Uchiha Akira of the promise.

Uchiha Akira took the scroll and spread it out on a table nearby, in front of the Hokage's desk, then began to read through it.

Although he had forgotten about this before, Uchiha Akira had long since decided which jutsu he should choose.

As the power level in the Shinobi World rose, by the later stages, only Taijutsu, Senjutsu, Sealing Jutsu, Space-Time Ninjutsu, and a few special types of jutsu would remain effective.

So Uchiha Akira would naturally choose from among those types.

As an ordinary ninja, the Formation of the Eight Inner Gates was certainly powerful, but it didn't suit him. He ruled out this powerful Taijutsu first.

After ruling out the Eight Inner Gates, he couldn't immediately think of a better choice for Taijutsu.

"Strength of a Hundred?" Uchiha Akira paused as he leafed through the scroll. He had found a chakra-bursting technique used by the Senju Clan.

"In a way, it does count as Taijutsu..." Uchiha Akira read the description and started to consider it.

The technique worked by precisely controlling chakra and gathering it in any part of the body, then releasing it in an instant to produce immense strength.

The more powerful the chakra, and the more precisely it was controlled, the greater the force that could be unleashed.

Someone like Tsunade could release chakra with every use of Strength of a Hundred, unleashing a force of more than ten thousand jun. She was practically a giant Summoning Beast in human form.

"This Strength of a Hundred technique might still be useful later, when the Shinobi World's power level skyrockets," Uchiha Akira mused.

He added this technique, called Strength of a Hundred, to his list of options.

"Flying Thunder God Technique..." Seeing the jutsu, Uchiha Akira gave a slight nod.

Space-Time Ninjutsu remained useful for an extraordinarily long time, as if it never went out of style.

From Second Hokage Tobirama Senju to Boruto Uzumaki in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Space-Time Ninjutsu had always been invaluable.

Although he now had a Kamui Mangekyō Sharingan, so in theory he no longer needed the Flying Thunder God Technique,

the Mangekyō Sharingan wasn't originally his, and it wasn't an Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan. There was no guarantee he'd be able to solve the problem of his eye power being sealed in the future.

So Uchiha Akira also added the Flying Thunder God Technique to his list of possible choices.

"Yin Seal? Never mind..." After glancing at the description, Uchiha Akira moved on from this powerful S-rank jutsu.

The Yin Seal was indeed powerful and could store a vast amount of chakra, but as a member of the Uchiha Clan, Uchiha Akira wasn't particularly short on chakra.

Since coming to this world, he had never fought until his chakra was depleted.

In an ordinary battle, it would be difficult to drain his chakra.

"Spirit Transformation Technique!" Seeing this jutsu, Uchiha Akira gave a slight nod.

This was another jutsu he wanted to master.

It was an extremely powerful S-rank jutsu, with a very high learning difficulty. Its creator was unknown, and since Konoha's founding, only Dan Katō had mastered it.

The jutsu could separate the spirit from the body and turn it into a spirit form. The user could then attack in that form, killing the enemy in an instant.

Beyond killing enemies, the jutsu was also an unrestricted Sensory Ninjutsu. No matter how far away the target was, or whether the user knew their location, they could sense where the target was while in spirit form and reach them instantly. They could even give them chakra.

In spirit form, the jutsu was somewhat similar to the Flying Thunder God Technique, but it had more functions and was more versatile.
