War losses and meeting Keiyun

Orochimaru studies under Sarutobi Hiruzen alongside Jiraiya and Tsunade. Although the Second Great Ninja War brings him the title of Sannin, the deaths of his disciple Nawaki, his friend Dan Katō, and other comrades leave him withdrawn. With Tsunade suffering from hemophobia and Jiraiya remaining in Amegakure, he retreats into his home to contemplate the meaning of life 36.

Kamiya Keiyun and Kamiya Sanyō visit him to discuss Earth Release. Orochimaru initially suspects another attempt to win his favor, but Keiyun’s original Mud to Stone Technique captures his attention.
