Background

Blood Saint originated in an ancient era and attained Eternity through the Great Dao of Blood. He regarded blood not as something inherently sinister, but as the source and pivot of life, creation, Heaven, and Earth. His Dao was unconcerned with conventional morality, righteousness, or benevolence. 1505

Before his slumber, he prepared a contingency by turning a wisp of Dao light into a taboo and using it to harvest accumulations across countless eras. His planned awakening was disrupted when the Blood Sea appeared far earlier than intended and Dao-United cultivators forced open his coffin. 1504 1505

Upon awakening within a divine sun, Blood Saint found a peaceful universe rather than the chaotic age he expected. His incarnation was weaker than anticipated, and he concluded that Zhao Cheng had altered history by merging an Inner Landscape World with Primordial Spacetime. He slaughtered the Harmonizers who had awakened him and extracted their memories. 1505

Appearance

Blood Saint's appearance changes markedly across eras and conditions. At awakening, he appears as a valiant, black-haired man with the bearing of an ancient war god; after ten thousand years of further cultivation, he is depicted as a frail, white-haired elder whose eyes contain boundless Great Dao. 1505 1609

  • Black hair flowing like a waterfall during his awakening. 1505
  • A heroic and masculine aura likened to a god of war. 1505 1600
  • An immense Dharma body that can expand to godlike scale or be forcibly compressed to human size near Zhao Cheng. 1509 1514
  • White beard and hair, with withered sinews and bones, in his later Saint-era form. 1609
  • Eyes in which time, Chaos, and countless transformations of the Great Dao seem to evolve. 1609

Personality

Blood Saint is ambitious, pragmatic, and unconstrained by ordinary moral standards. He sees sacrifice, coercion, and harvesting as valid methods when they advance his Dao, and he is willing to exploit weaker beings or force Immortals into serving him. 1505 1514

He is also highly calculating. Rather than brainwash all beings, he spreads his Dao and allows voluntary recognition, judging forced uniformity to create backlash and destroy future possibilities. He distinguishes this from blood sacrifice, which he considers a more direct but less sustainable method. 1509

His encounters with Zhao Cheng and later dimensional calamities gradually make him more reflective. He accepts an attendant after enlightening a spiritual cloud and speaks pessimistically of karmic ties, uncertain futures, and the inability of even Sages to control the course of their own stories. 1601

Abilities & Skills

Great Dao of Blood

Blood Saint's Dao treats blood as a fundamental principle of life and creation rather than a merely demonic force.

  • Attained Eternity through the Great Dao of Blood. 1505
  • Holds numerous authorities over Heaven, Earth, space, and time. 1505
  • Can draw strength from blood, battle, vitality, and the recognition of blood-related Dao principles. 1505 1509
  • His Blood Sea can inspire beings across time and space to comprehend blood-path scriptures. 1509

Blood Sea, Sacrifice, and Dao Transmission

Blood Saint can manifest a Blood Sea as both a battlefield domain and a means of converting living beings and worlds into power.

  • His earlier Blood Sea harvested eras and carried a sinister, filthy aspect; the later Blood Sea appears bright crimson and righteous. 1504 1509
  • He attempted to sacrifice an entire multiverse, including living beings, matter, energy, and Heavenly Dao, to restore his losses. 1506
  • The sacrifice failed because the apparent multiverse was an Inner Landscape Spacetime rather than a true dimensional universe. 1506
  • By spreading his Dao rather than compelling belief, he refines Origin-level power from those who recognize his path. 1509
  • He can burn his Eternal World to force a temporary surge in power. 1560 1562

Eternal Physiology

As an Eternal One, Blood Saint does not exist as a single conventional body.

  • Possesses countless bodies, aspects, Dharmas, Dao traces, and radiances spread across spacetimes and dimensions. 1610
  • Can escape through innumerable light-shadow incarnations; Zhao Cheng destroyed ninety-nine percent of them, but one escaped. 1512
  • Eternal Light functions like an origin rather than a simple energy reserve; losing it does not immediately reduce his combat power, though the consequences are severe. 1512
  • Can suppress injuries and negative effects from damaged Eternal Light for a limited period. 1512 1513

Blood Extreme Ten Paths

Blood Saint is an ancient martial artist whose Dao can be expressed through peerless fist techniques.

  • Created the Blood Extreme Ten Paths, a limit-level boxing art from the age when he suppressed mountains and rivers with his fists. 1512
  • His punches can carry the majesty of splitting Heaven and Earth and inheriting the past while ushering in the future. 1512
  • Can temporarily manifest the essence of a treasure slumbering within his Eternal Dao Fruit as though performing a fist technique. 1512

Dimensional Gate

Blood Saint's Dao treasure can transform into a Dimensional Gate with functions beyond a normal artifact.

  • His Dharma body evolved a Dimensional Gate while he was endangered by uncontrolled world-creation within himself. 1580
  • The Blood Saint fighting external-dimensional invaders was later revealed to have been his Dao treasure, the Dimensional Gate, rather than his true self. 1612
  • The Gate can appear as a vast structure bearing innumerable images of immortals, Buddhas, sacred beings, and Gods and Devils. 1600
  • The King of Light later used the Blood Saint as an anchor by transforming him into a card through the Mind Driver. 1621

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • Eternal Dao Fruit — The foundation of his Eternal state; it contains treasures and enables the full refinement of eternal-grade power, but was dormant during his initial awakening. 1509 1512
  • Dimensional Gate — His Dao treasure, capable of acting independently and confronting external-dimensional experts. 1612
  • Blood Sea — A manifestation of his Dao used for sacrifice, Origin refinement, and large-scale combat. 1506 1509
  • Ritual vessels and altar — Artifacts forged with other Sages for a grand sacrifice. 1601

Relationships

  • Zhao Cheng — Primary adversary and object of Blood Saint's obsession. Blood Saint tried to sacrifice and refine him for his secrets, but Zhao Cheng severed part of his Eternal Light and repeatedly overturned his calculations. 1506 1508 1510 1512
  • The Harmonizers — Dao-United cultivators whose actions prematurely awakened him. Blood Saint killed them and extracted their memories. 1505
  • Taiyi Daoist, Jade Origin Daoist, and Xuantian Patriarch — Immortal cultivators whom Blood Saint coerced into sacrifice to repair himself; they later plotted to betray him for the Eternal Indestructible Dao Essence. 1514 1559
  • Zhao Xiaoxiang — A later collaborator in preparations for a grand sacrifice. Blood Saint respectfully addresses her as “Dao Lord,” despite her rejection of the title. 1600 1601
  • Attendant Boy — A spiritual cloud enlightened and accepted by Blood Saint as an attendant after the latter developed greater compassion. 1601
  • King of Light — Transformed Blood Saint and the Primordial Ancient God into cards, using them as a shield and sword against the Dao Lord's emissary. 1621

Conflict with Zhao Cheng

Believing the multiverse to be a normal dimensional universe, Blood Saint attempts to sacrifice it for power. The plan is interrupted when he realizes it is Zhao Cheng's Inner Landscape Spacetime, after which he identifies Zhao Cheng's Immeasurability as one of the mind's four ultimate traits. 1506 1507

Forced Sacrifices and the Pursuit of Yuanshi

After escaping Zhao Cheng, Blood Saint subdues the three Immortals and forces them to sacrifice to him, using their power to restore his Eternal Light and strengthen his incarnations.
