Background

Gin transmigrated into the Naruto world with the Magician Teaching System. Though initially detached from the Uchiha Clan, he became committed to its survival because his body's grandfather—the Great Elder—had cared for and funded his expensive magical studies. Before dying two years earlier, the Great Elder received Gin's promise that he would restore Uchiha glory. 1

He regards the Uchiha's post–Nine-Tails Incident marginalization as a path toward eventual extermination. Rather than support either the conciliatory Doves or impractical Hawks, Gin calls himself a Reformist: he seeks to strengthen the clan through political leverage, scientific development, commerce, and controlled intimidation rather than immediate rebellion. 2 7

Gin chooses Orochimaru as his preferred Hokage candidate because Orochimaru values science, lacks the established anti-@@REF_ENTITY_12088672@@ prejudice of Konoha's leadership, and can support Gin's long-term research into Uchiha-Senju genetics and the Rinnegan. 1 6

Gin appears sickly while clothed but has a sturdy, muscular body with defined abdominal muscles. He is conspicuous among the Uchiha due to his silver hair and usually white attire. 1

His loyalty is primarily to the Uchiha Clan rather than Konoha. He is willing to deceive allies, exploit political crises, pressure clan leaders, frame opponents, and use painful genjutsu to reach his goals.
