Butterfly led the Butterfly Organization, a powerful and notorious private organization operating on Blue Star. Its members were recognizable by their black robes, while Butterfly himself wore gold. 133 157

He had worked for Qingye Yan and the Qingye Clan’s cross-world plan for years, antagonizing major Blue Star factions while helping prepare the world for chakra harvesting. Qingye Yan had supplied him with a pair of discarded false Rinnegan, though Butterfly initially treated the eyes as the foundation of his superiority. 240 244

The false Rinnegan placed severe strain on his body. After repeated uses of Shinra Tensei, he showed pain, chakra depletion, and instability; Su Bai concluded that the eyes were incompatible with Butterfly’s body. 157 202 209

Butterfly is a middle-aged man who normally presents himself in a golden robe and carries himself with deliberate authority. 157 217

First Battle with Su Bai

After deciding to take Su Bai’s Mangekyō Sharingan, Butterfly confronted him in the Wasteland Zone. He used Banshō Ten'in and repeated Shinra Tensei attacks, but Su Bai exhausted his ocular power and used Kamui to remove Butterfly’s right Rinnegan. Butterfly escaped with half his head injured and one Rinnegan lost. 162 203 206 207

Renewed Rinnegan and You City War

Butterfly later gained a new Rinnegan, restoring his confidence and greatly increasing his usable ocular power. Under Qingye Yan’s orders, he commanded Shadow Elephant and Flame Sun Bear, directed the magical-beast offensive, and openly plotted to seize the Ten-Tails’ power for himself. 265 269 280 281

Demonic Statue Assault

Riding the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, Butterfly massacred resisting ninjas and overwhelmed six S-rank combatants. He used the statue’s power to sustain himself despite the Rinnegan’s strain and demanded that Su Bai face him. 281 282 283

Final Battle and Death

Butterfly fought Su Bai with the Demonic Statue, his upgraded Rinnegan, chakra absorption, S-rank undead magical beasts, and finally a Sage-level fusion with two Truth-Seeking Orbs. 284 285 289 292

Although his Truth-Seeking Orbs resisted conventional attacks, Su Bai used paired Kamui attacks to breach both defensive layers before bombarding him with a Tailed Beast Bomb Barrage.
