Qiao Qing was largely raised by her grandfather, Qiao Zhensheng, after her father Qiao Qinglian spent his younger years being carefree and later became occupied with Society affairs. Zhensheng trained her swordsmanship with a willow branch and served as both her strict instructor and emotional anchor. 151

As the eldest daughter of the Qiao Family, she became Vice President of the Green Shirt Society at a young age. By age 20, she had already entered the Third Realm; her grandfather and several Lichuan masters believed she could eventually reach their level. 126
