Infiltrating Ninja

Haku stood there dumbfounded for a moment before lowering their head. "It's nothing. As Mr. Zabuza's weapon, since Mr. Zabuza has already joined your Uchiha Clan, I merely want to stay with him and do my part for your plans."

"A weapon?" Mingyou was somewhat surprised. Haku actually spoke of being a weapon as though it were only natural.

"Haku, haven't you ever considered that you're a complete person? You have your own will. Why do you insist on being Zabuza's accessory, even his weapon?"

Haku's expression darkened slightly, and they frowned. "Lord Mingyou, I hope you won't try to drive a wedge between Mr. Zabuza and me. You will never understand the relationship between us."

Mingyou was completely bewildered. He had tried to offer kind advice, only to earn the other person's displeasure.

"All right, I don't understand your relationship. If you want to become an instructor, go find Nami. She's mainly responsible for those matters. Just tell her I agreed to let you join her."

"Thank you, Mr. Mingyou." Haku nodded in satisfaction. After bowing to Mingyou, they headed toward where Nami lived.

Land of Fire, Konoha Root's main headquarters.

At the head seat of the hall, Shimura Danzō leaned on his cane and waited with narrowed eyes.

As footsteps sounded, a ninja wearing a white protective suit hurried into the hall and dropped to one knee before Danzo.

"Lord Danzo, all the Sharingan extracted from the Uchiha Clan guard members have been preserved. Please inspect them."

The medical ninja held out the tray in his hands. More than ten transparent test tubes rested upon it, and within the clear liquid inside, more than ten eyeballs floated up and down. It was a terrifying sight.

"I understand. Notify Orochimaru to arrange my Sharingan transplant surgery as soon as possible."

Danzo raised his eyes slightly, showing no intention of inspecting the Sharingan. After all, no Root member would dare betray him.

"Yes, Lord Danzo." The medical ninja answered, rose to his feet with the tray, and headed toward the cryogenic storage room.

"Yoshi, infiltration successful." A white-haired, dark-skinned man spat out the water in his mouth and rose from the surface.

"Darui, don't forget why we came here." Another woman climbed out of the water and headed toward the coastal forest.

The woman had delicate features and straight blond hair. The fishnet outfit beneath her clothes accentuated her ample chest alluringly. Her 36E bust revealed a deep cleavage.

Darui nodded slightly and looked at the blonde woman. "Samui, Lord Raikage appointed both of us as captains for this operation. There's no need for you to remind me like that."

"It was only a friendly reminder, nothing more. The Uchiha's ocular techniques are powerful. They won't be easy to deal with."

Samui rolled her eyes at the dozen or so ninja. "What are you all standing around for? Get ashore already. There isn't much time left for the mission Lord Raikage assigned."

"Understood, Captain Samui."

"Roger, Captain Samui."

The dozen or so ninja wearing Kumogakure forehead protectors all nodded in response and jogged after the two of them.

At the same time, within the Uchiha Clan's new residence.

Mingyou's family of four, along with Great Elder Soki and his grandson, sat around a dining table and ate together.

"Big Brother Mingyou, eat more of this chicken leg."

Nami picked up a large chicken leg and placed it into Mingyou's bowl.

"Big Sister, why are you so nice to my big brother? You won't even give me a chicken leg."

Sasuke puffed out his cheeks, seemingly jealous of Mingyou.

Great Elder Soki laughed and placed a piece of braised pork into Sasuke's bowl.

"Sasuke, they'll be husband and wife in the future. What are you, a little brat, asking for?"

Nami's face turned red, and she looked at Soki with a coy glare. "Grandpa, why are you making fun of me again? I haven't agreed to marry him yet."

Seeing the warm, harmonious atmosphere, Fugaku also felt like teasing them. "Mingyou, since Nami doesn't want to marry you, I'll go find Mr. Tazuna tomorrow and have him pick out a good girl for you in the Land of Waves. Hahaha."

Nami's face stiffened. She stood up and heavily set her bowl and chopsticks on the table. "No! Uncle Fugaku, how can you do that? I won't agree to it."

Mingyou helplessly pulled her back into her seat and tried to reassure her. "Nami, don't listen to my father. He's just joking with you. Can't you see that?"

Just as he finished speaking, several earth-shaking explosions rang out outside.

Everyone immediately stopped eating. They exchanged confused glances, then looked toward the outside of the residence.

"What's going on? Have Konoha's people attacked?"

Uchiha Mikoto frowned slightly and asked Fugaku beside her.

"No, it shouldn't have happened so quickly. Mingyou only dealt with more than a hundred Root pursuers this afternoon. Not one escaped. They couldn't possibly have made progress this quickly."

Fugaku shook his head, but he still looked toward Mingyou as though waiting for an answer.

Mingyou put down his bowl and chopsticks, rose to his feet, and quickly headed outside. "I'll go see what's happening."

"I'll go with you." Nami also stood and chased after Mingyou.

Mingyou responded with a grave expression, "No, stay here with my father and the others. It's safer here."

"If something really happens later, I can take all of you and leave directly."
