Background and History
Hagoromo and his younger brother sealed their mother, Kaguya, using Six Paths: Planetary Devastation; the moon was formed in the process. Hagoromo later left an inscription on the Uchiha stone tablet, which Black Zetsu secretly altered 348 392.
Hagoromo created the Pure Land World, where souls can retain some capacity to think and learn. From there, he has observed and influenced the Ninja World to a limited extent, paying particular attention to the reincarnations of his sons, Indra and Asura 366 858.
After Kaguya escaped her seal, Hagoromo summoned Natsume's soul into a consciousness space. Curious about Natsume's rapid rise without the Ten-Tails or Divine Tree, he asked how Natsume had acquired his power 366. He later drew Natsume, Kaguya, Hashirama, Madara, and Tobirama into a shared space for a summit on the Ōtsutsuki Clan and the Ninja World's future. Bringing five souls together—four of them exceptionally powerful—visibly fatigued him 391.
Hagoromo subsequently shared soul-related knowledge with Natsume, though reluctantly, and provided Hashirama with a guide to Yin–Yang Power. During the later Ōtsutsuki invasion, he watched for an opportunity to intervene but could not act before Hishiki seized Momoshiki's exposed soul 395 449 488.
