After confronting the academy’s leadership and settling into the Outer Court, he obtained the Life Gold and began planning a second Martial Soul to preserve his humanity.

• Long Xiaoyao brought Long Yaochen to Shrek and demanded Ma Xiaotao’s hand, and Long Yaochen absorbed her Evil Fire to stabilize his Martial Soul.
• Long Yaochen entered the Star Dou Great Forest, where Electrolux used his power to steady Long Yaochen’s Sea of Spirit and keep his humanity from being overwhelmed.
• After a disaster in the forest left Zhang Lexuan gravely injured and eight disciples dead, Long Yaochen confronted Xuan Zi, and Mu En stripped Xuan Zi of his duties.

After eight months of training, he reached Rank 40 and found Wang Dong had left for home, while Zhang Lexuan and Ma Xiaotao prepared to accompany him on another trip.

• At the Ice and Fire Yin-Yang Well, Long Yaochen demanded herbs from the Immortal Herbs, then gave Ma Xiaotao the Cockscomb Phoenix Sunflower and Zhang Lexuan Aromatic Silk Beauty.

Long Yaochen joined Shrek’s tournament team, led an Inspection Corps mission that uncovered the Holy Spirit Cult’s brutal attack, and helped Wang Dong’er approach the mark within her. The arc ended with Shrek winning its opening tournament match as Long Yaochen’s strength stunned the audience.

• Long Yaochen entered Shrek’s main team by defeating Dai Yueheng, then conceded to Ma Xiaotao and was publicly declared her fiancé.
• Mu En tasked Long Yaochen with leading an Inspection Corps mission against Death’s Hand in the Star Luo Empire, while the Holy Spirit Cult prepared to send Huo Yuhao to the Sun Moon Empire.
