Background

Qian Renxue operates under the identity of Xue Qinghe, the First Prince. While maintaining this cover, she evaluates Yu Tianshuo as a possible recruit and discusses his potential connection to the Angel God with her subordinates, Snake Lance Douluo and Pufferfish Douluo 8.

When Yu Tianshuo offers to join her faction, she discards her disguise and introduces herself as the Angel God's inheritor. She promises to support his cultivation and show him “a different horizon,” after which their soul powers fuse and both of their martial souls evolve 10.

Her pursuit of the Heaven Dou throne is tied to her strained relationship with her mother: Qian Renxue recalls being told to become the Heaven Dou Emperor in order to regain her mother's affection 45. After reaching Soul Emperor rank, she loses interest in the Nation-Stealing Plan, appoints a Soul Douluo proficient in disguise to replace her, and devotes herself to cultivation and the Angel Trials 60.

Qian Daoliu later announces that she will inherit the papacy. She subsequently appears publicly as Spirit Hall's future Pope, completes her ascension ceremony, and asserts herself as the new Pontiff against Bibi Dong's faction 74 88 100 103.

Personality

Qian Renxue is calculating and politically minded, initially judging Yu Tianshuo by whether he can be brought into her faction. As Pontiff, she plans Spirit Hall's future expansion and prepares for possible conflicts with Heaven Dou and Star Luo 8 107.

Beneath her composed public persona, she is sensitive to family and belonging. She envies Yu Tianshuo's warm household, feels bitter when seeing children with their families, and gradually learns to enjoy ordinary outings, shopping, and food with him 33 63 70.

She is also competitive and easily provoked by teasing. A joke during their sparring match drives her to attack Yu Tianshuo with personal frustration, and she later becomes embarrassed when unable to lift Gu Yue 34 91.
