Background / History

Lin Qing began as a child in Emperor Soul Village, where he received relics and final messages from deceased parallel versions of himself through mysterious Ash Urns. Learning that one parallel self died after joining Martial Soul Hall while another died after entering Notting Academy, he rejected both established paths and resolved to forge his own route. He also swore eventual vengeance against Tang Hao and Tang San for the death of a parallel self. 9

After reaching level 10, Lin Qing absorbed the 2,000-year Illusion Fox Soul Ring and departed Emperor Soul Village. He intended to establish himself in Suotuo City, eliminate the mountain-bandit threat, and eventually assassinate Viscount Priest through disguise and deception. 11

In Suotuo City, Lin Qing maintained two identities: the public combatant True Lord Erlang at the Great Soul Arena and an inconspicuous child in daily life. He cultivated in secret, gathered intelligence on Viscount Priest, and avoided direct confrontations until his strength was sufficient. 13

He later established Qinglin Restaurant, using inherited knowledge from a “great profiteer” parallel self to manage business and negotiations. The restaurant became Suotuo City’s foremost establishment. 26

Lin Qing subsequently became the central figure of Azure Throne Academy’s team.
