Acquisition and Absorption

Soul Rings commonly appear after a soul beast is killed. The resulting ring retains the beast's energy and may contain a residual mental shock or resentment, particularly at high ages 7 65.

• A soul master must absorb a ring compatible with their martial soul and current cultivation.
• Higher-aged rings provide greater power but impose greater physical and spiritual danger.
• Soul Rings below ten thousand years generally do not carry a soul shock; their primary danger is the physical burden of their energy. Rings at ten thousand years and above can carry the soul beast's residual resentment and mental impact 14 65.
• Mental-type soul beasts are rare and difficult to locate; Lin Qing twice hired hunting squads without finding a suitable target 12.
• Soul Rings may also be retained as relics in storage before the recipient reaches the required cultivation level, as with Lin Qing's Two-Thousand-Year Illusion Fox Soul Ring 9.

Li Erni's Lovesick Heartbreak remains the same regardless of the soul beasts whose rings she absorbs. Its all-attribute amplification scales with the combined age of her rings; without any rings, it already provides a 100% increase, and it later reaches a 250% boost for her beloved 35 85.

• Its age adapts to the maximum power the recipient can endure.
• Unlike ordinary high-aged rings, it lacks the mental shock associated with rings above ten thousand years.
• Lin Qing obtains one from Good-for-Nothing Lin Qing's relics but stores it until reaching Soul King level 124.
• Lin Qing believes it could provide him with a hundred-thousand-year ring upon absorption at Soul King level 124.
• Lin Qing later uses two God-Bestowed Soul Rings for his Ice Jade Empress Scorpion martial soul. They develop into 100,000-year and 200,000-year rings 298.

Soul Rings can be formed from more extraordinary sources than slain ordinary soul beasts.
