Wang Dong is Wang Dong'er under a male disguise. The previous-life relationship with Huo Yuhao is remembered by Huo Yuhao and several resurrected Shrek elders, but Wang Dong no longer recognizes him after Le Zhengyue erases those memories 59 61 63.

Le Zhengyue selects Wang Dong'er as a memory-erasure target well before their meeting. He wants to bring her into his own circle and knows that a mark left by Tang San remains on her 16 18 57. His eventual system choice erases her memories while rewarding Le Zhengyue with an additional 5% Dragon God Bloodline and establishing their special connection 57.
