Background / History

Morgan is King Uther's daughter and Artoria's paternal half-sister. She describes herself as a being born from the union of a human and a Fairy, “born to be the Lord of the Island,” while Artoria was created as Britain’s Red Dragon to ensure the country’s prosperity. This distinction became the foundation of Morgan’s resentment: she believed Britain, her purpose, and her inheritance had been taken from her by Artoria. 14 15

Before meeting Leon, Morgan was married and had two sons, Gawain and Agravain. When Leon proposed a marriage alliance, she agreed quickly, but made demands that included the death of her current husband and shared rule over a unified Britain. She privately intended to poison Leon after he had secured the country for her, but he exposed the plan and declared himself immune to poison and curses. 9
