Background

Qin Fang named the dog Xile, meaning “joy and delight,” because it brought vitality to his daily life and readily attached itself to him 97. It initially appeared to be an ordinary yellow farm dog, but its development changed after Qin Fang began feeding it Giant Bee meat and later allowed it to consume mysterious liquid from Old Ox Ridge 110 115.

Its growth became increasingly extreme. By the time Qin Fang was confronting Chen Shanhe, Xile had become large and swift enough to serve as a mount, allowing Qin Fang to escape a stronger pursuer 135 139. Qin Fang later left Xile behind at Old Ox Ridge while he traveled to Lanyang, judging that its instinct for avoiding danger made the ridge safer than bringing such a conspicuous creature to the prefectural city 143 144.

During Qin Fang's absence, Xile found and consumed all eighteen lotus seeds from a golden Treasure Plant in a hidden valley. This opportunity transformed it into a colossal golden-furred exotic beast with power resembling a Leaf Technique 190. Qin Fang eventually brought Xile to the Heavenly Dipper Boundless Sect, where Yue Guiyuan confirmed that it had reached the Transcendence level and allowed it to remain under Qin Fang's supervision 195 196.

Xile began as a small, yellow farm dog, but repeated consumption of extraordinary resources transformed it into a massive golden-furred beast 115 190.
