Background / History

Born in the Qingya Plane, Beirut lived as an unusual rat-type magical beast. In North Shore Forest, he killed a Saint Domain Thunder Dragon by exploiting the dragon's own attack, attracting Calorona's attention. She healed his injuries and began guiding his cultivation. 137 138

After thirty years under Calorona, Beirut became a god and awakened his Innate Divine Ability, God Devour. Calorona brought him to Hell and explained that she had been searching for a God Devouring Rat on Ailin's behalf. 138 139

Ailin confirmed Beirut's bloodline at Divine Rat Island, accepted him as an Envoy, and granted him a Soul Defense Sovereign Artifact. Calorona was assigned to personally oversee his development until he reached the High-God realm. 141

Appearance

Beirut has appeared in both a youthful human-like form and the elderly form he personally favors. When first encountered as a magical beast, he was described as an old rat; later, as a Low God, he appeared as a young man before deliberately adopting the appearance of a little old man. 138 141 144

  • Tiny eyes and whiskers in rat form. 138
  • Often presents himself as a small elderly man with a small mustache. 144 185
  • Possesses a highly developed tail that can extend over a kilometer and function as a devastating weapon. 158

Personality

Beirut is mature, cautious, and acutely aware of the limits of his own strength. Even after killing the Thunder Dragon, he credited the victory partly to its arrogance rather than boasting about his own power. 138

He is deeply committed to cultivation and responds seriously to Ailin's instructions, particularly those concerning his body and future responsibilities. His loyalty to Ailin grows after becoming an Overgod and receiving the opportunity to refine the Wind Sovereign Spark. 145 159 168

As Prefect, Beirut is pragmatic and uninterested in routine administration, delegating Azure Mansion's affairs to his steward. He is also capable of careful political maneuvering, using alliances, pressure, and limited protection to pursue Ailin's objectives without openly exposing all of his motives. 181 185 191

Abilities & Skills

God Devour

Beirut's Innate Divine Ability allows him to devour divine sparks, an ability unique to the God Devouring Rat bloodline. 141

  • Can directly consume divine sparks that ordinary experts cannot damage. 141
  • Absorbs Divine Core Essence to strengthen his physical body. 145
  • Can extract divine-spark essence and forge exclusive Godhead Weapons. 171
  • His ability remained secret during his early development because Calorona did not publicize its details. 145

Divine Physique and Tail

Beirut's physical body is his greatest combat advantage, strengthened through the absorption and refinement of divine sparks. 145 171

  • As a Mid God, his body was already comparable to a High-level Divine Weapon. 145
  • His tail can enter Space Turbulence and extend more than a kilometer. 158
  • Ailin judged his body to have barely reached the toughness of a Sovereign Artifact after sustained cultivation and artifact support. 158
  • His tail enabled him to retrieve the Four Divine Beasts' corpses from Space Turbulence. 168
  • Bolin reported being defeated by Beirut in two moves despite wielding a Sovereign Artifact. 190

Divine Avatars and Law Cultivation

Beirut focuses primarily on Dark-type Profound Mysteries, but he also cultivated a Wind God Avatar that ultimately became his path to Overgodhood. 145 168

  • Comprehended the Shadow Transformation Clone Technique upon becoming a god. 138
  • Developed both Dark and Wind divine avatars. 145 147
  • His Dark God Avatar later entered Hell as Pash's Envoy and became Prefect of Azure Mansion. 181

Magic Arrays and Plane Chambers

Beirut independently created a Plane Chamber in the Dark Forest, where dense elemental essence supported his secluded cultivation. 150

  • Constructed a complex Magic Array around his Plane Chamber. 150
  • Uses Magic Arrays for controlled experiments, including the absorption of Four Divine Beasts' Blood Essence. 188
  • Created a sealed Magic Box with an array bound to himself to safeguard Sovereign Sparks and Blood Essence. 171

Relationships

  • Ailin — Lord and benefactor. Ailin identified Beirut's bloodline, made him an Envoy, directed his growth, and arranged for him to obtain the Wind Sovereign Spark. Beirut later delivered the Water Element Sovereign Spark and Four Divine Beasts' Blood Essence to Ailin. 141 159 168 171
  • Calorona — Mentor, wife, and mother of his children. She found Beirut, healed him, guided his early cultivation, and later accepted his confession. 138 144 174
  • Pash — Blood Peak Overgod who accepted Beirut's Dark God Avatar as an Envoy, enabling Beirut to act in Hell under Pash's name. 181

Story Role / Major Arcs

Discovery and Recruitment

Calorona discovers Beirut after his victory over the Thunder Dragon, trains him to godhood, and brings him to Divine Rat Island. Ailin confirms that he is a God Devouring Rat, recruits him as an Envoy, and accelerates his cultivation in preparation for future plans involving the Four Divine Beasts' Sovereign Sparks. 137 138 141 144

Preparation for the Four Divine Beasts' Fall

After becoming a High-God, Beirut is brought before Ailin's Overgod identity and entrusted with a crucial task: use his tail to retrieve the Four Divine Beasts' corpses from Space Turbulence. Ailin reveals that Beirut may refine the White Tiger's Wind Sovereign Spark as his reward. 147 157 158 159

Ascension to Wind Overgod

Beirut succeeds in dragging the Four Divine Beasts' corpses into the Qingya Plane, refines the Wind Sovereign Spark, and becomes the Wind Overgod. He gives the Water Element Sovereign Spark to Ailin, repaying the support and trust Ailin had invested in him. 168

Azure Mansion and the Four Divine Beast Family

With Pash's backing, Beirut sends his Dark God Avatar to Hell, challenges for Azure Mansion's Prefect position, and wins. Although ordered to protect the Four Divine Beast Family temporarily, he refuses to become their unconditional defender; instead, he pressures them while organizing their enemies into a controlled coalition. 177 181 185

Beirut gathers patriarchs from eight super families hostile to the Four Divine Beast Family, assists their relocation to Hell, and warns them that Paragon High-God Keshrolao is guarding the family. He offers to negotiate with Keshrolao but leaves the actual conflict to the coalition. 191
