"Phew, with the system, at least I have some security in the Naruto World."

Shin discovered that he actually had five Copy Cards left.

Shin had been in the Naruto World for five years. Although the system had been dormant during that time, it hadn't withheld the Copy Card it gave him each year.

"Is my luck really that bad?"

After checking, Shin found that all five Copy Cards were Common Copy Cards.

The Copy Card given each year was random. With good luck, he might get a God-tier Copy Card

"Let's take a look at the mission."

Shin opened the system's mission panel and found that there was only one mission.

Kushina sat on the steps by the door, her chin resting in her hands. Her eyes, dull just moments before, lit up when she saw Shin.

"Kushina, you haven't been sitting here the whole time, have you?"

Shin walked over and helped Kushina to her feet. The two of them were the only ones living here.

A year ago, Shin had still lived within the clan grounds, but he'd moved out because of certain circumstances.

Kushina had no one in the clan to rely on, either. Her parents had died in an accident when she was three, and Shin was her only good friend, so she'd come here with him.

"I

was waiting for you the whole time. If you didn't come back soon, I was going to starve to death."

Kushina said weakly. She couldn't help it; she didn't know how to cook and had to rely on Shin to make their meals.

"But you still had some snacks, didn't you? You could've had those to tide you over."

Kushina suddenly gave an awkward smile. She tugged at her clothes with one small hand and said sheepishly, "I already ate them all."

"All right, then. I'll go cook right away."

Just as Shin was about to lead Kushina inside, he heard a faint sound behind him. He immediately turned around to look.

A middle-aged man with red hair, dressed as a ninja,

stood a short distance behind Shin.

The man's expression was blank. He held a small bundle and tossed it toward Shin.

"This is for your living expenses."

Shin caught the bundle and opened it. Besides money, he found two Ninjutsu Scrolls inside.

"Those two Ninjutsu Scrolls were your mother's keepsakes. The Grand Elder told me to give them to you."

After saying that, the middle-aged man used the Body Flicker Technique and left.

"Mother's keepsakes." Shin felt conflicted. He opened the two Ninjutsu Scrolls and found

two Sealing Jutsu recorded inside: the Adamantine Sealing Chains and the Four Symbols Seal.

The Adamantine Sealing Chains and the Four Symbols Seal were both incredibly powerful Sealing Jutsu, and they were ideal for dealing with Tailed Beasts.

"Shin, are you all right?" Kushina asked cautiously.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. I'll go cook first. After we eat, the two of us can train in Sealing Jutsu together."

Shin came back to himself, smiled at Kushina, and said.

"Huh? No, I can't. These are keepsakes your mother left you. How could I train with them too?" Kushina shook her head.

"Because

you're my best friend, Kushina. You stayed by my side when everyone else rejected me. Of course I should share good things with you."

Shin patted Kushina on the shoulder and spoke earnestly.

Shin was the grandson of the Uzumaki Clan's Grand Elder. His mother was the Grand Elder's daughter, but his father wasn't a member of the Uzumaki Clan.

Not only was he not part of the Uzumaki Clan—he was from the Uchiha Clan, the Uzumaki Clan's former enemy.

During the Warring States period, the Uzumaki Clan and the Senju Clan were distant relatives and allies, while the Uchiha Clan and the Senju Clan were hereditary enemies.

Because of their relationship with the Senju Clan, the Uzumaki Clan had clashed with the Uchiha Clan many times. Even though many years had passed since the Warring States period, the hatred hadn't faded.

So Shin's parents were bound to meet an unhappy end. In the end, the man returned to the Uchiha Clan, while Shin's mother died of depression over the matter.

He'd heard that after Shin's mother died, the man had also died on a mission.

For this reason, Shin wasn't well-liked in the Uzumaki Clan. Even his grandfather, the Grand Elder of the Uzumaki Clan, didn't care for him.

Shin soon finished cooking. His food tasted

pretty good, at least as far as Kushina was concerned; she ate with gusto.

After they ate, Shin called Kushina over, and the two of them studied the Adamantine Sealing Chains and the Four Symbols Seal together.

The Adamantine Sealing Chains was an A*-rank Sealing Jutsu. When used, multiple chakra chains extended from the user's back. They could serve as powerful weapons, create barriers, and seal Tailed Beasts.

Its power increased with the user's chakra. And what was the Uzumaki Clan best known for? Its chakra, of course.

Members of the Uzumaki Clan had the Sage Body. Even Kushina, who had only learned to draw out chakra a few days earlier, had as much chakra as an

ordinary Genin.

With their powerful chakra and this Sealing Jutsu, even the Nine-Tails would feel wary when facing the Uzumaki Clan.

The Uzumaki Clan's strength lay in its chakra and Sealing Jutsu. The Sealing Jutsu Konoha used to seal the Nine-Tails was also from the Uzumaki Clan.

"I can't understand any of this. Am I just stupid?"

Looking at the two Sealing Jutsu, Kushina felt completely lost.

They studied until late at night before Shin finally put the scrolls down. Only then did he notice that Kushina had fallen asleep beside him.

"Silly girl, she fell asleep right here."

Shin carefully picked Kushina up, gently laid her on the tatami, and covered her with a blanket.

"Mm, I should sleep too."

Shin stretched. He

had to get a good night's rest so he'd have the energy to train during the day.

After washing up, Shin returned to his room to rest.
