Xu Hongyu is the daughter of Xu Yichuan and a direct descendant of the Yu Family through her mother. Her father was an extraordinary swordsman who mastered two Sword Intents at nineteen, entered the Yi Jin Realm at twenty, and later disappeared under mysterious circumstances. His status allowed Xu Hongyu to retain the Xu surname while remaining a core member of the Yu Family's direct lineage 49 128.
