Background

The Seven Mysteries Sect is a major orthodox sect based in Yu Province. Though the province remains nominally under Great Xuan rule, imperial decrees, tax silver, and tributes no longer effectively pass through the sect; Yu Province has been functionally separated from court control for decades. 79 96

Its influence extends across all seven counties of Yu Province, including Yu County and Yu City. The Xue, He, Xie, and Yu families are affiliated forces, and leading figures of those families have served as sect elders. 79 114
