Nature
- The God Realm is regarded as the ultimate destination shared by all cultivation paths, rather than a continuation exclusive to body-tempering martial arts 440 472.
- Entering it breaks a lifeform’s shackles to its native heaven and earth, removing the ordinary limit of lifespan and elevating its existence beyond the mortal realm 452 493.
- God Realm beings are not absolutely eternal: they may still decay over sufficient time in the Void, even after transcending their home world 493.
- A world capable of producing God Realm lifeforms is considered a Great World. Before a world produces its first God Realm being, it may be indistinguishable from an ordinary medium world to outside observers 571.
Attainment
Before the Great Xuan World’s first ascension, reaching the God Realm required both the Heart Soul and physical body to be tempered to their respective limits. Their merger could then attract a bestowal from the Source River, whose power removes the final shackles of heaven and earth 517 561.
A being that attempts the breakthrough without reaching these extremes may still succeed after its world has already produced a God Realm existence, but will begin with a weak foundation and limited future potential 519.
The first God Realm ascendant of an uncivilized world gains exceptional privileges. As the world’s first World Master, they can alter its rules and substantially reduce the difficulty of later ascensions 561 571.
God Power
God Power is both the strength and the fundamental existence of a God Realm lifeform. It is formed through the qualitative fusion of Heart Soul and matter; after ascension, physical bodies and souls can be manifested or reshaped through God Power 559 561.
- Life imprint — Each basic unit of God Power contains a complete life imprint. A God Realm being truly dies only when its God Power and all retained imprints are extinguished 517 563.
- External avatars — God Power can be divided into avatars. A surviving avatar or hidden life imprint allows the individual to rebuild over long Years after the destruction of its main body 563.
- Inner worlds — God Power can serve as the foundation for a Cave Heaven or Inner World, while the Void Path provides the world’s structural framework 561.
- World mastery — The first God Realm being born from a world can reshape its heavenly rules. Within an Inner World, its creator’s will functions as the world’s heaven and earth 561.
- Divine weapons — Divine weapons are the proper weapons of God Realm existences. Their amplification is vastly greater in a God Realm wielder’s hands than for those below God 507 563.
Strength Hierarchy
The God Realm has no fixed internal realm divisions in principle; strength is commonly measured by how many layers of the Void a being can shatter. These layers are referred to as Heavens 561 563.

History in the Great Xuan World
For most of Great Xuan’s history, the God Realm was known only through hidden imperial records, Great Wilderness discoveries, and fragmentary knowledge preserved by ancient factions. Blood Exchange and Celestial Being experts were often mistaken by ordinary people for gods, while the genuine God Realm remained beyond the world’s established martial inheritance 426 440 472.
Chen Mu first reached the Half-Step God Realm after refining his Heart Soul into a complete Undying Heart Soul. His soul could then transcend the Great Xuan World’s restraints, though his physical body had not yet broken free 493.
During the Demon Calamity, Chen Mu merged his perfected Heart Soul and Martial Body in the Earth Abyss, condensed God Power, and became the first person in the Great Xuan World to enter the God Realm through martial arts 559. The Source River bestowed upon him ten portions of foundational God Power—far above the ordinary foundation—and granted him a Perfect God Body 560 571.
His ascension transformed Great Xuan’s development. The world’s Origin Qi and overall foundation rose, the difficulty of future ascension declined, and later generations began producing additional God Realm beings 519 590. Xu Hongyu became the second known God Realm lifeform of Great Xuan with Chen Mu’s assistance, while Chen Yue and Chen Yao postponed ascension to establish stronger personal foundations first 594.
Over subsequent Realm Years, Great Xuan gradually developed separate mortal and God Realm strata, with the Heavenly Palace Realm serving as its Upper Realm for ascended lifeforms 624.
