Satyrs and Furbolgs
"I am your nightmare. 😲♖ Claw 🎁🔥" The slightly hoarse voice was filled with madness, and the creature that made the sound sprang out from the bushes. It looked like Elves, with purple hair and eyebrows, hooves and ram horns, thick fur on its paws, and a lion-like tail trailing behind it. It was Satyrs, a corrupted and twisted Elves from the War of the Ancients.
Satyrs leaped out of the bushes, wielding a scimitar. With a joyful shout, he slashed at the towering Trolls before him, his clean and swift movements revealing boundless ferocity—a ferocity stemming from their chaotic nature. Faced with the sudden appearance of the Satyrs, Zul'ra instantly stepped aside.
Almost the instant the first Satyrs leaped out, the surrounding bushes rustled, and about thirty or forty Satyrs emerged from the bushes near and far. Some Satyrs also emerged from the forest. They surrounded the group and attacked with their scimitars, but the Night Elf's bow and arrows immediately put them at a disadvantage.
"Zul'ra!" Naisha shot an arrow right into a Satyrs. Looking around at the Satyrs that appeared, she saw the tall Trolls surrounded by at least five Satyrs in the blink of an eye. She couldn't help but roar, but before she could go forward, she was stopped by the other side.
"Don't come any closer." Zul'ra gripped her longsword, calmly dealing with the approaching Satyrs. In a flash, she broke free from the encirclement of seven Satyrs, then turned to face the goat-man monster chasing from behind. She swung her Forest Sword in front of her and suddenly raised her arm, delivering a sweeping blow to the charging Satyrs.
With a sharp hiss, the azure light on the blade shot forward with the swing of the sword, forming a light blade that swept through the air. The seven Satyrs who rushed in front of Zul'ra stared wide-eyed, and then their bodies were torn into fourteen pieces like pieces of paper.
"Watch out!" Zul'ra swept his sword across, Execute seven Satyrs. When he looked at Naisha in the distance, he couldn't help but shout urgently. Because he was focused on him, a goat monster approached Naisha.
The female Night Elves were very strong, but still somewhat frail. This was fine against humans and Blood Elves, but against the equally massive Satyrs, they were not suited for close combat. Fortunately, Zul'ra reminded them in time, and Naisha switched the hard bow to her left hand, drew a turquoise-inlaid dagger from her waist with her right hand, and threw it.
With a whoosh, Satyrs, who was close to Naisha, fell to the ground. The turquoise-inlaid dagger was pinned to its head. Zul'ra's eyes widened slightly at the sight, but before she could say anything, a alarm bell rang in her mind. She instinctively raised her left hand and accurately blocked the hairy hand wielding a knife from behind. Then, she bent her arm, turned around, and stabbed the attacker with her sword.
"Hoo!" Zul'ra pushed the attacker away, exhaled slightly, and then quickly moved his feet, thrusting his longsword at the nearest enemy. He felt that he had found a bit of inspiration for swordsmanship, letting his body move with the blade, without stopping.
Zul'ra focused his will on the blade, forgetting that he was surrounded, and let the blade be led forward by his will. His body was driven by the blade, thrusting, slicing, and cutting out in the same way. The Satyrs were like grass and trees, silently cut down in front of him.
"Zul'ra Jin!" Just as Zul'ra was holding his sword with both hands to block a curved blade that Satyrs had swung at him, and was about to retaliate and Execute him, a sudden roar separated him from the blade. In an instant, the pressure returned to him. Zul'ra couldn't help but grin and release his left hand, instead grabbing Satyrs's neck and squeezing hard with his five fingers.
We're surrounded.
Zul'ra put down Satyrs's body and, following the finger pointed by the distant Tooth-Soldiers Tejiji, saw that many monsters had suddenly emerged from the left side of the bushes. If the Tauren were some kind of four-legged pasture animal that walked upright, then these monsters were bears that walked upright, Furbolgs, many Furbolgs.
Furbolgs are native creatures of Kalimdor. They have gray and brown fur, bulging necks, a necklace of bones and teeth hanging down their chests, and a strip of cloth covering their crotches. These simple decorations are proof of their intelligence, but at this moment their eyes are filled with madness, and drool is even dripping from the corners of their mouths.
Faced with the charging Furbolgs, even the Satyrs began to flee, but a few Satyrs were still unable to escape and were pounced on by the Furbolgs, their claws tearing and their teeth biting. Zul'ra looked at the Furbolgs, whose speed had been temporarily halted by the Satyrs, and grinned as she retreated to the protection of the Tooth-Soldiers.
"Give me some time," Zul'ra said. The Tooth-Soldiers immediately understood and moved forward. Naisha and the others also took arrows and drew their bows, preparing to provide ranged firepower for the Tooth-Soldiers. Zul'ra sheathed her Forest Sword, adjusted her mindset, squatted down, pressed her hands to the ground, and began to communicate with the spirit of the earth.
Several Satyrs were killed by the Furbolgs in the blink of an eye. They began to charge towards the Trolls and Elves in the field, but before they could reach the front, the Furbolgs at the front felt its footing give way and its body tilted and fell into a large crack in the ground that had appeared out of nowhere.
"You did this!" Naisha looked at the silent crack that had appeared in the ground and turned to ask Zul'ra. At that moment, Zul'ra had his hands off the ground, chanting a spell while spreading his hands to the sides. With his incantation and movements, the crack in the ground that had trapped the Furbolgs began to expand rapidly to both sides, but more than a dozen Furbolgs still managed to jump or bypass the crack.
"Protect Zul'ra Jin!" Tejiji roared as he watched the Furbolgs that had bypassed the fissure in the ground. He raised the recurve blade in his hand and led nineteen Tooth-Soldiers to meet them. Naisha and the others quickly drew their bows and fired arrows to reinforce them. The Furbolgs that had charged in were quickly dealt with, and Zul'ra completed his spell.
"Phew!" Zul'ra exhaled a long breath after completing the spell. He connected the entire fissure in the earth into a circle, keeping the numerous Furbolgs at a safe distance. Before he could even breathe a sigh of relief, he felt his vision go black. It wasn't because he had used up too much magic power, but because he was trapped.
"What should we do?" Naisha looked at the fissure in the ground that formed a ring around her, blocking the Furbolgs's path like a cliff, and couldn't help but ask Zul'ra, who had stopped casting spells.
"How would I know? Do you have a way to contact your companions here?" Zul'ra looked at the Furbolgs lingering outside the crevice, a slight wry smile on her face. Forest Sword just now flashed, signaling this ending to her?
"No." Naisha's expression stiffened as she looked at the Furbolgs thronging at the other end of the fissure in the earth, showing no intention of leaving.
"Drag those corpses together, gather some shrub branches and leaves, and try to set them on fire to see if we can create some smoke to attract some creatures nearby." Zul'ra looked at the Furbolgs corpses scattered around her and quickly came up with a plan.
