Demon Fall Ridge
Demon Fall Canyon is located on the west bank of the Southfury River. It is a Y-shaped canyon with a mountain ridge rising to the west. During the Third War, Mannoroth, the Pit Lord who held the fate of the Orcs in his hands, hid here. [69shux. com]
Zul'ra walked across the still scorched earth, feeling the remaining violent Fel in the ground, and marveling at the power of that Mannoroth.
The reason why the entire Demon Fall Canyon is now a scorched wasteland is because Mannoroth was killed here by Grom. The violent energy contained within the Pit Lord exploded, destroying all life here, including Grom's life.
Deep within a dark and barren canyon, a stone tablet stands, inscribed with the following text:
Here lies Grom Grommash Hellscream, chieftain of the Warsong Clan.
The beginning and end of our nation's curse are inextricably linked to this.
His name means "heart of a giant" in our ancient language, and he truly lives up to that name.
His giant body stood like an iron tower before Mannoroth, winning us nature and glory with his blood.
A salute to you, my brother! May the Warsong Clan never fade away.
The inscription ends with. "Warchief of the Thrall Horde."
The epitaph expressed Thrall's gratitude and admiration, and Zul'ra seemed quite moved as well, but after seeing the empty pit next to the tombstone, he could no longer feel sentimental.
"Foolish Anetheron..." Banehollow followed behind Zul'ra, glancing at the scorched valley with a mocking tone. These were the remnants of Mannoroth, a magnificent sight, but one that he had paid with his life.
"Horre, come here." The voice came, and Banehollow could only look away, lower his head and walk forward, following Zul'ra to stare at the empty pit next to the tombstone.
"Tell me, do you have any useful information?" Zul'ra turned to look at Banehollow.
"Yes, Mannoroth is a fool, but he's just a lowly pawn charging into Charge," Banehollow winked his green eyes, offering a subtle reminder.
"So that means he's under orders. Who?" Zul'ra raised an eyebrow. Mannoroth was just a pawn Charge, which meant he was being commanded. Could it be Archimonde? She couldn't afford to mess with that guy.
"Malkazaar." Banehollow glanced at the longsword at Zul'ra's waist with a troubled expression, and forced himself to utter a name.
"What about all his information?" Zul'ra pressed.
"He's an Eredar, a mage who worships the the Deceiver, and the the Deceiver value him highly, so they entrusted him with command of the army when they went to Nordrassil." Banehollow had no choice but to reveal the information.
"Anything else?" Zul'ra pressed.
"That guy craved power; he wasn't content. So he temporarily left while Mannoroth was toying with the Orcs. Otherwise, with him here, that Orcs wouldn't have gotten away so easily." Banehollow looked at the tombstone in front of him, feeling both schadenfreude and regret. Those Orcs were quite useful as pawns.
"Can you find Malkazaar?" Zul'ra asked.
"No, no, after Mannoroth died, that guy led his army to search for a Moonwell, but he and his men were stopped by a group of Water Elemental. When the allied forces of the Night Elves arrived, both sides fled, and I haven't heard from him since."
Banehollow, as a Dreadlords, was well aware of the demons' actions, but Malkazaar's disappearance was so mysterious that even he was unaware of it.
"Do you think that the Eredar took Gorehowl?" Zul'ra asked hesitantly.
"It was him. I've heard people say he got his hands on a toy that suits his needs, probably Grommash Hellscream's battle axe. That battle axe could kill Mannoroth, enough to attract his attention." Banehollow decided to confess everything, since he had no choice but to say it anyway.
"So, you have absolutely no idea where to find him, right?" Zul'ra drew her longsword from her waist, her eyes fixed intently on Banehollow.
"Yes, yes." Banehollow felt a little uneasy under Zul'ra's gaze and stammered as he answered, but his words did not elicit a reaction from Forest Sword.
"Do you know anyone who can find him?" Zul'ra frowned, then changed the subject.
"the Deceiver or the Kil'jaeden should be able to... I remember now, Diathorus, the leader of the demon army here, the successor to Malkazaar. He's a Nathrezim like me, so he should probably know Malkazaar's whereabouts." The name Diathorus flashed through Banehollow's mind immediately, but looking at the trembling longsword in Zul'ra's hand, he honestly confessed.
"Master, I can take you to him," Banehollow said cautiously after finishing his sentence.
"I'm not going." Zul'ra looked at the seemingly very kind Dreadlords, sneered, and sheathed his sword. He was going to go alone to find the Dreadlords who commanded the demon army here; wasn't that just courting death?
Banehollow realized he had been too forward, bordering on being overly solicitous, so he stopped talking.
"Let's go back to Orgrimmar first and report this news." Zul'ra ended her discussion with Banehollow. Gorehowl was lost anyway, so the most important thing now was to get back and report. What to do after that would require further planning.
After Zul'ra finished speaking, her body was immediately lifted up by the airflow and flew directly out of the canyon above her head. After scanning the dark canyon left and right, Banehollow also spread his wings.
"It's all my fault." Thrall deeply regretted his decision to leave Gorehowl behind to die after learning that Gorehowl had been stolen.
"It's too late to say anything now, Thrall. Let's think about how to find that Malkazaar!" Zul'ra stopped Thrall's regret. At this point, regret was useless. It was better to find a way to get the things back.
"Didn't you say that your demonic pet provided some seemingly reliable information?" Thrall looked up. Now was certainly not the time for regrets. As for Malkazaar's whereabouts, there was some news, and they had to do their utmost to retrieve Gorehowl.
"But he's a Dreadlords, and he has an army under his command. Trying to get information from him is futile. According to Banehollow, Malkazaar's disappearance was completely mysterious; even the Legion doesn't know what happened. The Dreadlords only possibly knows."
Zul'ra shook Thrall head at Thrall. The whereabouts of Malkazaar were unknown, even the demons couldn't be sure. As for Diathorus, whom Banehollow mentioned, it was only a possibility that he might know.
"No matter what, we must try our best to retrieve Gorehowl." Thrall shook his head slightly. Although the chances of success were slim, he was determined to do it anyway.
"Then leave this to me! I also need to get started on clearing out the demons in Demon Fall Canyon and Felfire Hill." Seeing that Thrall Zul'ra, Sanra didn't object; it was something she could easily do anyway.
"No, I'll go myself this time. Zul'ra, you stay in Orgrimmar and negotiate with Jaina." Thrall rejected Zul'ra's idea; he would go after Gorehowl himself, while Zul'ra would stay behind.
"What?" Zul'ra was somewhat taken aback. She was to negotiate with Jaina?
"Yes, I'm sorry, Jaina and I are friends, and I don't really want to be on the opposite side with her because it would be very awkward, and I would feel bad about it." Thrall looked somewhat embarrassed in the face of Zul'ra's surprise.
"What do you want me to talk to her about? I'm not even sure I can answer that." Zul'ra looked at the embarrassed Warchief and couldn't help but feel annoyed. You don't want to be the bad guy, so you're pushing me to take the lead, huh?
"It's just some negotiations about ending the Cold War between the Horde and Theramore and resuming trade. I believe that with your wisdom, resolving these matters will be no problem at all," Thrall nodded confidently.
