Military Centralization
Thrall left without hesitation, immediately taking his security advisor Nazgrel to Ashenvale after giving instructions, leaving the Orgrimmar situation temporarily in Nazgrel's hands. ♛🍮 ☟🐯
Zul'ra was initially somewhat reluctant, because Thrall was essentially using him as a scapegoat. Putting aside the negotiations with Jaina, the Horde a host of problems, and if anything went wrong during this period, any mishandling of the situation would leave him with a bad reputation.
Although reluctant, Thrall ran too fast, and Zul'ra, staying in Orgrimmar, could only gather information and try to solve the problem herself.
First, Zul'ra learned a lot from the old Orcs Eitrigg. Eitrigg was Thrall's loyal advisor, and Thrall's many political affairs in Orgrimmar were handled with his advice.
The Horde is now growing stronger and more prosperous. The Orcs in Durotar have completed the cultivation of five farms and harvested two batches of food. Other sideline businesses, such as animal husbandry, hunting, and mining, are also showing results.
Although everything was thriving, as they escaped the hardships of their early days, some of the Orcs began to succumb to their unruly nature.
In determining the future of the Horde, Thrall adopted the shi-wu village system, but out of respect for tradition, he did not disrupt the Orcs ' communal living, allowing clan members to stay together, which gave many Orcs the opportunity to form cliques.
Rumors were already starting to circulate in Orgrimmar, but Thrall's reputation was still holding up, and Zul'ra didn't care about these things. However, he was focused on something else.
Because of certain sensitivities, when Zul'ra discussed the future of the Horde with Thrall, they did not discuss developing military areas, as he was not yet prepared to relinquish military power and allow the Horde's military to fully integrate.
Zul'ra had initially thought that the unification of the social system through the universal conscription of the clan society would essentially equate to military unification, but now it seemed she had underestimated the situation.
After the defeat in World War II, the Orcs were scattered in various places. Thrall rescued more than 20,000 Orcs from concentration camps, and later, after crossing the ocean, he gathered a group of them in Kalimdor.
Among the Orcs, there are many who genuinely respect and love Thrall, but there are also quite a few with ulterior motives; the group is a real mixed bag.
In the clan society of the Orcs, everyone was a soldier. In the past, when Horde fought, they would simply create strategic missions and then assign them to various clans to complete.
In accordance with past traditions, Thrall did not overly organize the Orcs ' military during the establishment of Orgrimmar. Instead, he simply rebuilt the Shattered Hand Clan as the main force of the land forces and formed the Roaring Clan as the main force of the navy, following the old practices.
Neither clan was a military organization in the traditional sense; they were merely social groups with diverse organizational components. There were also other smaller clans scattered throughout the area, such as the "Burning Blade Clan," which was currently secretly recruiting members everywhere.
Society is in transition and the military is still unorganized. If things go wrong, the Orcs will be on the verge of civil war. It is imperative to strengthen the power of the Warchief as soon as possible and centralize the military management of the troops. Zul'ra had an idea in mind.
"Is this why Thrall temporarily put me in charge of these matters?" Zul'ra thought, contemplating strengthening the Warchief's power, when a thought suddenly struck her: Could this be part of Thrall's plan?
First, make yourself aware of the situation in Orgrimmar, then proactively propose strengthening the Warchief's power. This will allow him to avoid some awkward conflicts with you.
Amani is an important member of the Horde. As the King of the Amani, he endorses centralized power, which makes it much easier to understand the thoughts of the Tauren and the Darkspear.
"That guy with the thick eyebrows..." Zul'ra thought about it more and more and it seemed more and more likely. She couldn't help but laugh and curse in her heart. That guy with thick eyebrows and big eyes could actually be cunning.
Although Thrall had played some tricks, Zul'ra didn't find it offensive. After all, everyone has their own ideas, and centralizing power in the hands of the Warchief is beneficial to the Horde. He could understand that, but it would affect him.
Zul'ra did not object to supporting the Warchief's centralization of power, but he also had to make some preparations, such as setting up a committee to check and balance the Warchief and plotting for the position of the next Warchief.
Zul'ra was making calculations in his mind, but after a quarter of an hour, he shook his head and gave up on the idea of setting up a committee to check the Warchief. If it could check Thrall now, it could also check him in the future.
As for the next Warchief, it would be most advantageous for him to let the Horde maintain its current traditions. If Thrall is determined to pass the throne to Garrosh Hellscream, then Zul'ra wouldn't mind stepping over Garrosh's corpse to take the throne. After all, Mak'gora is a tradition among the Orcs!
If he didn't resort to underhanded tactics, he would be letting that big-eyed, thick-browed guy, Thrall, get away with it for nothing. Zul'ra was a little annoyed, but his annoyance quickly passed. For the sake of the bigger picture, he could accept a small loss. Besides, although Thrall had used some tricks this time, he was a trustworthy person.
Zul'ra decided to proceed cautiously and observe the situation. As long as he remained the King of the Amani, his position in the Horde would be unshakeable.
"You win this round, kid." Zul'ra secretly gave Thrall the middle finger in Ashenvale, then turned back to focus on the Horde's public affairs.
The Horde currently faces three issues: the unrest caused by the Darkspear and Stonemaul Ogres, and the upcoming negotiations with Theramore.
Thrall and Jaina intend to establish a trade zone between Durotar and Theramore to facilitate communication and understanding between civilians from both sides, thereby reducing friction.
Thrall and Jaina's idea was good and feasible, but Zul'ra was not optimistic about the plan because it interfered with the interests of the Goblins.
It's important to know that along with the rise of Durotar and the establishment of Theramore, Ratchet, a Goblins- known goblin port on the the Barrens coast, flourished at a visible pace because they controlled the middle trade.
Thrall and Jaina's idea of establishing a trade zone likely stemmed from a desire to bypass the Goblins and conduct independent trade. However, this idea is unrealistic; if it touches on the Goblins ' interests, they will undoubtedly sabotage it.
Thrall and Jaina both have peaceful hearts, but the Orcs and humans below are not. They are like gunpowder, ready to ignite at the slightest spark. The Goblins can be that spark. If they turn to one side, it wouldn't be surprising if the Alliance and the Horde immediately went to war.
Even when war comes, Goblins can still make money, though perhaps not as much as during peacetime. They're content as long as they can make money, and they don't care about how to make it. They also don't care about the lives of the people on both sides of the Alliance and the Horde.
Thank you to Big Horned Monster and Song Rentou for the donations and support. There's only one chapter today. I feel like my whole body is being roasted by fire, my nose is running non-stop, and my mouth and nose smell terrible.
