Ratchet Conference
Soon, several lime-pickled corpses were hung on the walls of Orgrimmar, and notices were issued throughout Durotar, warning of the consequences of being a demon believer and the attitude of the tribe towards the Legion.😲♧ ♖☞
Zul'ra dealt with the demon cultists and then instructed Malacrass, who was in charge of affairs in Orgrimmar, to select a group of skilled Headhunter and Shadow Hunter from the Amani'lai to join the Warchief's guard.
While Zul'ra was organizing affairs, Jaina of Theramore dealt with Christoph and his demon cultists through imprisonment and exile, and carried out a reorganization of the city of Theramore.
The city of Theramore is filled with Kul Tiras, who are larger and more robust than those in Lordaeron. They are arrogant and unruly, and look down on the people from Lordaeron, Gilneas, Alterac, and other continents who also live in Theramore. Some of them are quite haughty.
Since the humiliation of Theramore, the country has been in a state of confrontation. The refugees from Lordaeron are relatively peaceful, but the soldiers from Kul Tiras are somewhat hostile towards Jaina and even show a tendency to seize power from Jaina, though they have not succeeded.
Jaina's mother, Catherine Proudmoore, who was far away in Kul Tiras, sent her an assistant from Kul Tiras, the High Knight Cyrus Cressfa.
Cyrus Kressfa is an excellent Kul Tiras knight, well-versed in port affairs, and his mindset is no less than that of a naval admiral. Jaina does not consider him a confidant, but she is willing to entrust him with important matters.
With Jaina's trust, Cyrus Kresfa quickly subdued the unruly Kul Tiras, making them obey the Queen of Theramore's orders and obediently engage in fishing instead of constantly causing trouble and rebelling.
With her magnanimous heart, Jaina quickly restored Theramore to her control and prepared to resume negotiations with the Horde.
Lorena, the colonel from Theramore, served as Jaina's messenger once again. She led a group of soldiers across Durotar to Orgrimmar. This time, she was not Recklessness. She requested Warchief with Warchief Thrall from the Orcs. Upon meeting Zul'ra, she presented Jaina's letter and expressed her apologies.
"Respected Zul'ra Jin, please forgive my rudeness last time; I did not understand your identity."
"I accept your apology, Colonel Lorena." Zul'ra accepted Lorena's apology and opened Jaina's letter, reading its contents, which were words proposing to restart negotiations.
"I have received Jaina's message. As old friends, I will not write to her. Please convey my invitation to her, saying that I hope to have a conversation with her in Ratchet regarding the peace between the Horde and Theramore," Zul'ra replied formally.
"I will pass on your message to Lady Jaina, but I don't know when you will have time," Lorena said respectfully, indicating that she would relay the message and inquiring about the timing of the conversation.
"Does Jaina have time in two days?" Zul'ra raised her eyebrows slightly.
"Ms. Jaina will be there." Lorena nodded readily, accepting the invitation on Jaina's behalf.
"That's good." Seeing that Lorena had accepted the agreement with Jaina, Zul'ra knew that Jaina must have informed her beforehand, so she didn't suspect anything.
Zul'ra didn't keep Lorena any longer, personally escorting her out of Orgrimmar. Then, she quickly sent Beiruid to Ratchet by airship to find Gazlowe there to book a suitable venue for her.
Ratchet originally belonged to Baron Gazlowe. Thrall sought Gazlowe's help when building Orgrimmar, and Gazlowe recommended the renowned engineer Gazlowe to him, also gifting Gazlowe Ratchet.
Ratchet was an obscure port city, less than a hundred years old, because the town of Gadgetzan in southern Kalimdor stole its trade. However, with the arrival of the Horde and the Alliance, the port quickly prospered.
Whether it's the Goblins Steamwheedle Cartel or the Bilgewater Cartel, they've both staked a lot on the Horde. It would be completely unwise for the Horde to bypass them and negotiate with Theramore. However, negotiating on their turf and showing them what they've got is a good idea. They can use Theramore to give them a warning.
Faced with Zul'ra's negotiations, Gazlowe, the administrator of Ratchet, took it very seriously and quickly cleared out a hotel to arrange for his reception.
Two days later, Zul'ra and Jaina met at the hotel.
"Zul'ra Jin, we don't need too much formality, do we?" Jaina was very interested to see Zul'ra again, and since they were not on opposing sides, she showed great interest.
"Of course not, we're old friends after all. Do you want to talk business directly, or catch up? By the way, how's Alonsus?" Zul'ra looked at Jaina, whose blonde hair cascaded down her back and whose face and figure were becoming more and more beautiful, and thought of Alonsus.
"The Archbishop has returned to the embrace of the Light." Jaina's gaze was somewhat forlorn.
"When did this happen?" Zul'ra was somewhat surprised. Alonsus was old, but his fame was enough to ensure he died without a trace.
"Three years after that meeting, he passed away peacefully, and my teacher and I attended his funeral!" Jaina thought of Arthas, but didn't mention him, instead referring to her teacher Antonidas, who was also dead, killed by Arthas.
"He was an old man, which is normal and quite good." Zul'ra became even more depressed. He died before the the Scourge, so logically speaking, Alonsus's funeral should have been held without any fanfare, and even Sabra should have known about it.
"..." Jaina looked up when she heard Zul'ra say "It's fine." "Fine?"
"Well, isn't that right? If he saw the state of Lordaeron now, he'd be worried again." Zul'ra, seeing Jaina's gaze, quickly explained her meaning. In China terms, "a long and healthy life, dying peacefully without illness" is a happy death.
"Lordaeron..." Jaina listened to Zul'ra's words and lowered her gaze, then felt a pang of sorrow. In that case, Elder Alonsus was indeed a joyous occasion, but Lordaeron was now a ghost town.
"The situation in Lordaeron is terrible right now, but once the Horde has sorted things out, it will do everything it can to prepare for the the Scourge." Seeing Jaina in deep sorrow, Zul'ra couldn't help but sigh and shake her head. The writers were really unfair to this girl.
"Thank you..." Jaina subconsciously thanked Lordaeron.
"No, no need. The Horde isn't doing this for Lordaeron; it's because the the Scourge is harming the world, and we can't let the Scourge continue to have an impact." Zul'ra refused Jaina's thanks. The Horde's fight against the the Scourge was also for the sake of the land of Lordaeron.
"The Alliance won't ignore those Undead either." Jaina, regaining her composure, also understood the Horde's intention Horde attack the the Scourge. She frowned slightly as she spoke. She hoped to coexist peacefully with the Horde, but she would not tolerate Horde endless expansion. The land of Lordaeron belonged to the Alliance, to humanity.
"That would be great. Hopefully, the Alliance and the Horde can join forces then." Zul'ra nodded with a smile. It's really hard to fight the the Scourge without the Alliance's help. As for the land, it's rightfully the Horde's share, and they can't escape it.
