Talks in Progress
After a few pleasantries, Zul'ra and Jaina quickly got into the swing of things, discussing the possibility of the Alliance and Horde joining forces to fight the the Scourge. The dispute over the ownership of the lands of Lordaeron was tacitly set aside, neither of them mentioning it. ♤🐍 😾♬
Although they talked enthusiastically, it was actually just wishful thinking, because the Horde was not ready yet, and Jaina wasn't even entirely confident that she could stop the Alliance from going to war with the Horde. But it's always good to have hope.
Although peace between the Alliance and the Horde remains a distant dream, Zul'ra and Jaina used the incident to express their stance: peace between the Horde and Theramore is achievable, but how far it can be reached is uncertain.
Although Jaina longed for peace, as the Queen of Theramore, she wasn't the innocent, pure type one might imagine. On the contrary, she was far more astute than most. Zul'ra seized the opportunity to ask her if Theramore would remain neutral indefinitely.
"Theramore always desires peace and is willing to Consecration its strength to peace." Jaina did not answer directly, but instead said that Theramore desires peace and is willing to work for it, without saying anything more.
Zul'ra's eyebrows twitched slightly. Jaina's answer was cryptic. Theramore was willing to coexist peacefully with the Horde, but would not always yield. She also retained her obligations as a member of the Alliance, meaning she would not remain neutral forever. As for when she would cease to be neutral, no one knew. This girl was quite cunning!
"My father told me that peace is like a dream, beautiful, fleeting, and unattainable, but I don't believe it." Jaina's expression was very serious. Seeing that Zul'ra didn't speak, she began to explain her thoughts.
"Dreams are never believable, because we want to make them come true," Zul'ra replied with a smile.
"I think exactly the same as you, Zul'ra Jin." Jaina nodded solemnly.
"If I had wine on hand right now, I would raise a glass to you." Zul'ra didn't reply much. In fact, if peace is needed, then there must be conflict. If you want peace, you can only naturally integrate with others. Otherwise, peace is just a dream. However, it's best not to say such things now.
"I believe you have a chance, but for now, let's start by resolving some issues!" Jaina smiled easily. Although they had different ideas, this Amani Trolls had shown that he was just like Thrall and would become a strong pillar in maintaining peace.
"So where should we begin? Ladies first." Zul'ra spread her hands, indicating that Jaina should speak first.
"Currently, many people have come to Theramore from the Eastern Kingdoms, and we have many conflicts with Durotar. I hope the Horde can ease these conflicts," Jaina began, making a general request.
"The Horde is already restraining everyone." Zul'ra didn't respond.
"No, I mean, the Horde can designate an area for both sides to communicate!" Jaina gave a specific description.
"You mean the Horde is opening up an area? Then, what law should humans entering the Horde's territory abide by? If they break the law, what law should they be dealt with according to? Furthermore, does Theramore also have the idea of opening up an area?" Zul'ra fired off a series of questions.
"Durotar is too vast, and it also has the Darkspear and Tauren as allies!" Jaina's expression was grim. Theramore is such a small place; if it were opened up any further, it would be gone.
"Hmm, I understand your thinking, but..." Looking at Jaina's expression, Zul'ra felt she had been a bit too harsh. Since the humiliation of Theramore, it had been in a passive defensive position, its territory limited to the area from the Witch's Reach Theramore Island. There really wasn't much open space, but...
"However, I believe that exchanges should be conducted on both sides, rather than just one-sided opening." Zul'ra did not overlook some issues because of Theramore's territory. He knew that opening up areas would lead to a large influx of outsiders, which could cause local unrest, especially since Theramore, although small in size, had a large population.
The influx of refugees from Lordaeron, Gilneas, and Alterac, along with existing colonists in the Echo Isles and the arrival of Kul Tiras, will cause Theramore to expand rapidly.
As the population grows, Theramore will have a need for territory, and the areas that are opened up will be targeted, since the Horde's population is far too small compared to the human population.
"But where else in Theramore can we use as a communication area?" Jaina was getting a little gritted up; this Trolls looked so hateful, why did Thrall send him here!
"Yes, I know, Theramore has a fortress in the the Barrens!" Zul'ra blinked.
"Northwatch Hold, no, that's our forward position." Jaina's expression changed. She knew that Northwatch Hold was Theramore's military fortress on the coast of the the Barrens, opposite the Orcs ' Roaring Camp. If it was opened up, then Theramore would be completely exposed.
"Military force is useless for peace when it comes to our outposts. Wouldn't it be better to turn them into a place for communication?" Zul'ra said with a smile, spreading her hands.
"Zul'ra Jin, I come with sincerity. If I open the Northwatch Hold, will the Horde be willing to open Orgrimmar?" Jaina's face darkened, and she felt an urge to slam her fist on the table, but she held back and made a comparison through gritted teeth.
"No, but I can open Bladefist Bay so that human merchant ships can pass through there. I'm doing this with the utmost sincerity!" Zul'ra said with a smile. Not to mention Northwatch Hold, even Theramore couldn't compare to Orgrimmar.
"No, I see no sincerity from you whatsoever!" Jaina almost laughed in anger. Bladefist Bay was right near Orgrimmar; what use would it be for the Alliance ships to be near there?
"On the contrary, Jaina, I don't see any sincerity in you. Your purpose is for exchange, but Fistblade Bladefist Bay is the Horde's first bay, where a large number of Horde members live. Wouldn't it be more conducive to cultural integration for humans to be there?" Zul'ra's face hardened. Jaina's request for the Horde to Horde up an exchange area was not simply for the sake of exchange.
"I..." Jaina's face stiffened slightly, and she was speechless with astonishment.
"Let's call it a day!" Zul'ra interrupted the Jaina, stopping the negotiations and giving Jaina time to process her thoughts. He wasn't seeking huge profits in these negotiations, but rather aimed to resolve the conflict between Theramore and the Horde.
