Weapons and Money
Faced with Hamuul Runetotem's use of the the Scourge as a comparison, everyone's attitude wavered. They felt disgusted by Sylvanas's research into bioweapons, while Moira, as Forsaken, felt wronged and uncomfortable. Seeing this, Zul'ra involuntarily raised her hand to draw everyone's attention. 👤💝 💀👹
"Hamuul Runetotem, your method of comparison is wrong. The Forsaken are not the the Scourge; they are victims of the the Scourge, and also members of the Horde." After drawing everyone's attention, Zul'ra first looked seriously at Hamuul Runetotem and Saurfang, whose attitudes were clearly different. He had not expected their reaction, but this matter could be serious or minor.
It's true that the Forsaken are secretly researching chemical weapons, but directly comparing them to the the Scourge is hurtful and detrimental to the unity of the Horde.
Even if there are indeed people among the Forsaken who are similar to those of the the Scourge, there are also people with conscience. The Horde must not generalize in this regard, otherwise it will push all the Forsaken to the opposite side.
"Yes, Hamuul Runetotem, you should apologize for this." Cairne Bloodhoof looked at Moira, who looked uncomfortable, and also felt that the comparison with Hamuul Runetotem was a bit too much, so he seriously demanded that he apologize.
"Well, that's not what I meant. Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it, Moira." Hamuul Runetotem also realized that his words were somewhat inappropriate. At Cairne Bloodhoof's request, he didn't hold back and apologized directly for his inappropriate behavior. Moira didn't pursue the matter further and nodded lightly.
"I apologize for my inappropriate remarks, but I remain opposed to biological weapons." Hamuul Runetotem breathed a slight sigh of relief after seeing Moira nod, but then insisted on his position, and Saurfang nodded in agreement.
"We can discuss this further. First, we must recognize that the Forsaken face considerable difficulties. Second, their research into the use of these weapons is to combat the Scourge," Zul'ra continued, pausing slightly before adding.
"You may not feel it in Cairne Bloodhoof, but we Kalimdor on the Eastern Kingdoms, under immense pressure from the the Scourge. It's a normal reaction for the Forsaken to research bioweapons. I'm bringing this up not to oppose it, but to hope that Lady Sylvanas will handle these matters carefully."
"The Scourge has caused us considerable trouble. Quel'Thalas has only just escaped danger, while the Forsaken remain in peril. We should be understanding," Lirath echoed Zul'ra, defending the Forsaken.
Saurfang, Hamuul Runetotem, Cairne Bloodhoof, Vol'jin, and the others exchanged glances and nodded in agreement. While they, the Kalimdor faction, were developing peacefully, they couldn't help but sympathize with the hardships faced by the Amani, Quel'Thalas, and Forsaken on the other continent as they fought against the the Scourge. Simply condemning the Forsaken somewhat selfish.
"Thirdly, and very importantly, the Horde is currently in a period of development, and we are not safe. We have enemies and rivals. In future struggles, our enemies are very likely to use this tactic against us. Although this idea is malicious, you all probably know that our enemies and rivals are capable of doing it."
Zul'ra held up three fingers to everyone, describing the third reason. Cairne Bloodhoof and the others remained silent. The Alliance and the Horde were mortal enemies; such malicious speculation was indeed undeniable.
"Therefore, under this premise, Lady Sylvanas's research in this field can be seen as making necessary preparations for the Horde. What I am worried about is that this weapon is too dangerous and cannot be properly managed. Once it spreads, the harm will be indiscriminate, affecting both friend and foe."
Zul'ra offered an explanation for Sylvanas and the Forsaken's actions, but repeatedly mentioned the dangers of the bioweapons and demanded that they be handled properly. After receiving his repeated prompting, Saurfang spoke first after some thought.
"If that's the case, I have no objection. However, I strongly demand that Sylvanas make a commitment not to use this weapon unless there is a threat."
"And Sylvanas would be better off having us oversee and participate in the research of these weapons. As you said, Zul'ra Jin, these things are dangerous, and we should use more resources to prevent accidents from happening," Hamuul Runetotem echoed Saurfang's words.
"Agreed," Vol'jin stated succinctly.
"Alright then! In conclusion, we need to speak to Sylvanas about this. Lirath, you'll handle it! Use your personal identity. Also, I'll personally report this to the Warchief. Moira, you won't have any objections, will you?" Cairne Bloodhoof made the final decision after considering everyone's opinions.
"Okay." Lirath did not object.
"No." Moira's expression was cold, but her gaze softened slightly, indicating she had no objection to Cairne Bloodhoof's words.
"So, what other issues do we need to discuss?" Cairne Bloodhoof ended the conversation and turned his gaze to Zul'ra.
"How is our currency minting progressing? When will it be issued? I have so many things that require funding." Zul'ra inquired about the Horde's bank's currency issuance. Due to the urgency of the matter, he couldn't keep a close eye on currency affairs and could only offer some suggestions. He didn't yet know the progress of the currency minting and issuance.
"The minting schedule has been finalized. We've put in a lot of effort to produce qualified coins. Of course, the steam-powered forging press you brought, as well as the Sin'dorei's Arcane, have been a great help. Those little things are exquisite, but unfortunately, I can't carry some with me. In another month or two, we'll begin issuing them." Cairne Bloodhoof's face lit up with an unusual gleam as he spoke about the coin minting.
"That's good. The currency should be issued as soon as possible. I've also gathered some information and made an assessment of the Horde's current needs. Our upcoming tasks may be very arduous." Zul'ra breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing that the currency was about to be issued.
"What are we going to make?" Vol'jin asked. Hamuul Runetotem, Saurfang, and the others also became more attentive. They knew that Zul'ra had specifically requested the position of Minister of Industry, which suggested that the position was very important. However, they were unclear about the significance of manufacturing. Could making things more refined help the Horde increase its strength?
"There are so many, I can't list them all." Zul'ra looked at everyone's gazes, thinking about the current situation of the Horde, but he didn't know where to begin.
