Chromie
"How many times do I have to tell you? We don't have any mercenaries to provide here anymore. All the strong men have gone to kill those damned Undead." The bald shopkeeper, wearing a cotton coat, stood with his back to Zul'ra, shouting angrily at the person on the other side of the counter.
"But you have to believe me, I really need someone to help me save the world." A high-pitched, childlike voice came from under the counter. Zul'ra took two steps closer and saw a female Gnomes standing below the counter.
Zul'ra looked at the female Gnomes Gnomes needed mercenaries, and then glanced at the people sitting in the living room. Most of them had gloomy faces, obvious physical disabilities, and no weapons. In this era, those with martial arts skills had all gone to kill the Undead, so there were indeed no mercenaries available.
"We are the ones who need to be saved! Listen, if you say anything more like this, I'll have the patrolling guards check you to see if you're infected with the plague!" The boss, somewhat annoyed by the Gnomes's seemingly insane words, threatened him.
"Go ahead! I need a guard, anyone who can fight will do." The female Gnomes's age was hard to tell; her voice was high-pitched, and she had a pair of green eyes. Her blonde hair was tied up in two buns on top of her head. Faced with her boss's intimidation, she was not afraid at all, but rather very tempted. She just wanted someone who could fight.
"I..." The boss looked at the Gnomes seemed like a lunatic and was instantly defeated, not knowing what to do. The guards here were neither the lunatics of the Scarlet Crusade nor the Lordaeron people of the past. They were all from Stormwind and Kul Tiras. If he went to them, he might not only be ripped off, but he might also be conscripted.
"Ah, the fighter is here." Just as Zul'ra was watching the show, the female Gnomes suddenly turned to look at him, her green eyes lighting up.
"Warrior, answer my call and go protect our world!" The female Gnomes looked at Zul'ra and hurriedly took short steps towards him.
"How can you protect the world? What benefits will you give me?" Zul'ra looked at the rather pretty and cute female Gnomes and asked with a smile.
"Go save someone, and if you can help me, I'll give you gold." The female Gnomes spoke rapidly and urgently, behaving like a mad child.
"Don't listen to this crazy Gnomes girl's nonsense. Listen, kid, we're the ones who need saving right now. If you're strong, go kill a few Undead!" The bald boss saw that Zul'ra looked strange and seemed willing to be hired, so he couldn't help but persuade her.
"What do I have to do with your need for salvation? I'm Stormwind citizen." Zul'ra looked at the bald boss and said indifferently. Faced with his words, not only was the bald boss speechless, but even the people in the living room looked at him with some anger. In their hearts, they all had only one thought: Stormwind had forgotten how Lordaeron had helped them to restore their kingdom.
"Tell me! How much can you give me? To be honest, I don't need any gold. By the way, what's your name?" Zul'ra turned his gaze to the female Gnomes.
"Oh, I forgot to introduce myself. My name is Chromie. I can give you ten, twenty, thirty... Damn, I don't have many gold coins. What do you want?" The female Gnomes Chromie was a little annoyed by Zul'ra's words. She had finally caught someone who looked like she could fight, and she wanted to hold onto this guy tightly as soon as possible.
"What do you have?" Zul'ra glanced sideways. It was Chromie, just as she seemed to be. She hadn't expected her to be recruiting people here. It looked like there was something wrong with the timeline. It seemed like this was the first time Chromie was seeing Sanra herself.
"I have, I have nothing. I'm telling you, just be generous and give me a discount. I'll compensate you later, okay?" Chromie pleaded.
"Okay, no problem. Let's talk somewhere else first." Zul'ra didn't refuse. Judging from Chromie's condition, she was still quite naive and not the kind of person who was mentally ill. She wouldn't pose a threat to him. As long as it wasn't dangerous, helping her was no big deal. It would also be a good opportunity to ask her to take him back to where he was.
"Great, great, you're really tall." Chromie was overjoyed to see that Zul'ra was willing to help, and she quickly ran over to take his hand and leave. But when she got closer, she suddenly realized that Zul'ra's appearance was a magical disguise, and his actual height was too tall.
"Can we leave here first?" Zul'ra looked at Chromie, who had seen through her disguise, and couldn't help but smile.
"Of course, no problem." Chromie looked at Zul'ra's original appearance, paused for a moment, then came to his senses, raised his hand and released a burst of golden light like grains of sand, enveloping himself and Sanra.
A flash of golden light disappeared in an instant, and Zul'ra and Chromie vanished in the middle of the inn. The owner behind the counter and the guests in the lobby seemed to have been corrected by a magical force, each going about their own business as if the Gnomes and the human had never existed.
Putting aside the strange phenomena in the hotel lobby, when the golden light before her dimmed, Zul'ra found herself still in human form, standing with Chromie in a forest, surrounded by pine trees and dense jungle, not knowing where they were.
"Speak! What do you want me to do?" Zul'ra looked at the unfamiliar surroundings and couldn't help but ask Chromie beside her.
"Go save someone." Chromie clasped her small hands together in front of her, pleading with Zul'ra as if in worship.
"Who should we save, and how should we save them?" Zul'ra asked.
"Go that way from here, there's a river, and there's an Elves by the river named Lirath Windrunner. Protect him until he escapes safely to Silvermoon City." Seeing that Zul'ra didn't object, Chromie quickly pointed in a direction from the jungle.
"Where is this?" Zul'ra continued to ask calmly. Protecting Lirath was a mission issued by the Bronze Dragons, as it turned out that Lirath was still alive.
"This is the Darkwood, north of the Thalas Mountains, southwest of Sunscar Peak, and not far from Windrunner Village," Chromie explained to Zul'ra as quickly as possible.
"Who will be my enemies?" Zul'ra then asked.
"Orcs, Forest Trolls..." Chromie looked at Zul'ra's original appearance and couldn't help but feel a little uneasy. Would this Trolls really oppose the Forest Trolls to protect the Elves?
"Warrior, please remember, this Lirath is very important to our world in the future. Please protect him. Don't let your race's perspective limit you. I beg you." Chromie clasped his hands together again, a little frightened. He had finally found someone who could fight; he couldn't let them refuse him.
"My name is Zul'ra. I can help you, but you have to promise me one thing." Zul'ra looked at Chromie, whose eyes were full of pleading, and couldn't help but grin.
