Dogs Biting Dogs Is So Much Fun

When Danzo arrived at the Shimura Clan compound, he saw their home reduced to ruins. The other Root members gathered before the devastation of the Shimura Clan.

Some surviving Shimura Clan ninja, seeing Danzo arrive with Root ninja, seemed to find their pillar of strength.

They cried inconsolably, shouting, "Lord Danzo, you must do justice for us! Our Shimura Clan suffered such a terrifying attack; someone must be targeting us!"

Danzo's face was filled with fury. He roared, enraged, "Hypocritical Hiruzen, was this your doing?! Konoha's strongest Fire Release Ninjutsu belongs to your Sarutobi Clan! You must give me an explanation!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at the enraged Danzo, his face full of awkwardness. He coughed heavily, "Ahem," instantly composed his expression, and said seriously, "We, the Sarutobi Clan, do not have such ninja. Danzo, I will thoroughly investigate this and give your Shimura Clan an explanation."

Utatane Koharu looked disapprovingly and spoke to Danzo: "Danzo, this matter is clearly suspicious. We should find the ultimate culprit and give the Shimura Clan an explanation."

Mitokado Homura immediately retorted, "Danzo, have you offended someone outside? Tell us everything you've done. We need to diagnose the problem and find the true culprit behind this."

Upon hearing this, Danzo's single left eye turned crimson with rage, almost causing him to tear off the bandage covering his Sharingan. He roared furiously, "Investigate! Investigate everyone! Even if I have to turn all of Konoha upside down, I will find this culprit!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi, seeing Danzo on the verge of taking drastic action, immediately admonished him, "Danzo, you're overstepping! I am the Third Hokage. So much has happened in the village; the villagers need peace. If you pursue this investigation so aggressively, it will cause panic among the villagers."

Mitokado Homura immediately opposed, "I object! Danzo, you must prioritize the village! Wasn't the Uchiha Clan just annihilated? They didn't demand such an extensive investigation!"

Utatane Koharu wouldn't miss an opportunity to gain prestige. As long as she could object, she would speak up. She immediately countered, "I object! We should investigate this in private."

Danzo's face was ashen, but seeing Hiruzen Sarutobi speak, he merely roared furiously, "Weak Hiruzen, you are no longer fit to be Hokage!"

Hiruzen Sarutobi said seriously, "The village will provide compensation to help you resettle the Shimura Clan."

Upon hearing that there was money involved, Danzo's anger subsided considerably. He said gravely, "It must be a substantial amount. Our Shimura Clan is the backbone of Konoha; we cannot leave their families without support after they're gone."

Soon, news of the Shimura Clan's plight reached the hands of the various clan heads in Konoha.

In the Hyuga compound, Clan Head Hiashi Hyuga picked up the note in his hand and thought to himself, Damn Shimura Clan, you finally got what was coming to you today. It's incredibly satisfying.

The people who forced Hizashi Hyuga to his death back then were Konoha's higher-ups. Four years ago, ninja from the Land of Lightning visited Konoha.

That night, they abducted three-year-old Hinata, intending to take the Byakugan bloodline back to the Hidden Cloud Village. Ultimately, Hiashi Hyuga discovered them.

Desperate to save his daughter, Hiashi Hyuga used an Eight Trigrams Empty Palm, directly striking down a few of the Hidden Cloud ninja.

The Raikage, hearing that his ninja were killed by Konoha's Hiashi Hyuga, accused Konoha of deliberately tearing up the peace treaty and threatened war unless the Hyuga who killed the Hidden Cloud ninja was handed over.

The Third Hokage was truly afraid of the Raikage and had Danzo and Utatane Koharu pressure the Hyuga Clan.

Hizashi Hyuga, from the branch family, in order to protect his brother and the Byakugan bloodline, willingly sacrificed himself in place of Hiashi Hyuga.

It was Danzo and these "brilliant" individuals who continuously pressured the Hyuga Clan. Finally, the Hyuga Clan had no choice but to sacrifice a pawn to save the king.

All the Hyuga Clan members deeply resented the current Konoha higher-ups and wished for something to happen to the Shimura Clan.

Clan heads of other prominent families looked at the letters in their hands, their reactions varied. The Ino-Shika-Cho families all commented, "Konoha is truly in troubled times. It seems it will be a long time before Konoha can settle down."

Some minor clans who had curried favor with the Shimura Clan began to worry, saying anxiously, "Did Lord Danzo offend someone? Will we be retaliated against too?"

Soon, more and more Root ninja reported, "Report, Lord Danzo, we found no assets in the ruins, only the bodies of Shimura clan members."

Just then, a band dressed in white, beating gongs and drums, walked over. The leader was Yunye, holding a megaphone and blowing a continuous "toot-toot-toot."

The band members, seeing the Third Hokage and other Konoha higher-ups present, immediately stopped playing.

The Third Hokage and the other Konoha higher-ups were all puzzled. Listening to the cheerful music, their faces all showed discomfort.

Yunye said respectfully, "Lord Third, Lord Danzo, we just heard that there was an explosion at the Shimura Clan compound. We, the Uchiha, offer a full-service package. We'd like to send the victims off and escort these Konoha ninja to heaven. What do you think?"

After saying this, Yunye looked at Danzo expectantly, hoping these people would agree.

Yunye emphasized again, "The Uchiha Clan's seven-day mourning periods are all handled by us. If you don't believe me, you can go ask around."

Hiruzen Sarutobi said angrily, "Don't cause trouble here! All of you, leave!"

Yunye looked awkward and very honestly said, "Goodbye, Lord Third. Goodbye, Lord Danzo. If something like this happens again in the future, you can find our full-service package. We guarantee to send the deceased straight to heaven!"

Danzo was furious, roaring angrily again, "You bastards! How dare you laugh at me?! Are you trying to die?!"

Yunye and the others were startled by this. All the band members scattered, running towards the Uchiha Clan compound.

Mitokado Homura objected, "Those are just band members. They wanted to send off the deceased Shimura Clan members. Why are you scolding them? You're biting the hand that feeds you!"

Utatane Koharu, seeing her teammate object, immediately spoke up, "This isn't an office. We are Konoha's higher-ups. We must maintain the prestige of Konoha's higher-ups."

Danzo's face was ashen. He angrily retorted, "If your clan were annihilated, could you still maintain your prestige?"
