"I need to ask his opinion."
The Central Hub answered Lion El'Jonson's request in an icy manner, but by no means out of retaliation for his earlier actions.
The lion asked calmly, "Why?"
"The fewer people who know about this plan, the better," the mechanical voice rang out evenly. "Even you cannot be told without his permission. Unless you have some other way."
Roboute Guilliman frowned slightly. He had heard the implication in the Central Hub's words.
He raised his right hand and made several complicated gestures. Pale blue Magic Power surged out, forming a thick, dark-blue tome after a few seconds. When it landed on the table, it even gave off a dull, heavy thud.
He opened the book and turned to one of its pages. The page glittered, and Magnus carefully stepped closer, but in his sight, all the words were twisting with utter madness. In a single instant, they made him let out a muffled groan.
"You had better not read this book without The Void's permission, Magnus."
As Roboute Guilliman read carefully, he gave a warning: "Knowledge is very dangerous. To ensure safety, spells have been placed on it. As for this book, the barrier was cast personally by Teacher. Until you have gained approval, you should keep your distance."
Hearing this, Magnus could only retreat unwillingly, but he still did not give up on taking part in this work. Returning to his seat, he asked softly, "Have you found anything, Roboute?"
"I'm looking through it."
A blue radiance lit in Guilliman's eyes. He began turning the pages and searching carefully, every movement extremely meticulous—just as he had said, knowledge was very dangerous.
The Primarchs began to wait patiently. A few minutes later, Guilliman spoke again.
"It's confirmed. It is indeed a barrier-type spell."
