He Shenyan carried a still-dripping head in his hand as he slowly walked up the steps.
The head was a little too huge compared to his frame; the broken spine alone was nearly as tall as his body. Yet the Mage held it in one hand as if it weighed nothing at all. He strode up the long staircase. At the top, a creature curled up on the throne was staring at him in utter terror.
Bang!
He Shenyan tossed the head casually, throwing it at its feet, then shook his head. He said nothing, yet still scared it half to death.
"I, I, I—" It choked for a long while before finally forcing out a groveling, "I apologize."
He Shenyan had just walked up to it, and he could not help laughing when he heard that.
"After I killed every living thing in your dimension, you're apologizing to me?"
"Great ruler of the Gugeling Dimension. Your Majesty La-Mo Goff."
The Mage walked up to it, reached out, yanked it up from the throne, and kicked it down the steps. Then he sat down himself. "What a sincere apology."
La-Mo Goff, as one of the Dimensional Gods that had joined the attack on Earth, counted as one of the weaker ones among them. Not only was its ability to lend power to mages rather poor, even its own followers were often summoned by mages as experimental materials.
The Gugeling Dimension it ruled was rich in a species that had nothing going for it except thick skin, tough flesh, and immense strength. They were also usually enormous. The head the Mage had just been carrying belonged only to a juvenile follower of La-Mo Goff. However, precisely because of that, they were often treated as food by creatures from other dimensions.
