Angron lay wearily down inside the Medical Pod. Sanguinius stood at his side, watching him with concern. Fulgrim stood in a corner of the room with his hands behind his back, his expression calm, though he still glanced at Angron from time to time.
Frank was not there at all. He had left ten days ago, saying he had a new mission to carry out. The former inquisitor who had been following him had it rough instead; rest had become a complete luxury. He was either carrying out a mission, or on the way to carry one out.
"All right, start up the Medical Pod," Angron said. "Damn it, that Treefolk's teleportation method was too rough. My head still hurts even now."
Sanguinius raised a hand and tapped a few times on the panel at the top of the Medical Pod. The hatch slowly closed, and pale blue light began to glow inside. Sanguinius's slightly distorted voice sounded beside Angron's ear.
"What does crossing dimensions feel like?"
"I can't really describe it." Angron shifted his head uncomfortably, narrowing his eyes against the blue light. "It didn't feel particularly good. Maybe it was because that Treefolk hadn't mastered his craft. At least when He took me across dimensions, I never felt anything was wrong."
"Is that normal?"
Fulgrim cut in. He turned his head to look out the window, as if speaking casually. "You've been back for three days, but you're still exhausted. Don't tell me you've been hit with some Nurgle curse?"
