Guanglin True Person was the grandmaster of Chen Changhong and a leading cultivator of the Guanglin Sect. His cultivation advanced at an abnormal rate: he reached Foundation Establishment at seventy and Golden Core at only a little over two hundred years of cultivation. His rapid advancement left him needing seclusion to stabilize his foundation and endure the “tribulations of talent” caused by advancing too quickly. 61 128 131

Although he initially appeared to be an extraordinary genius, True Persons Li and Sun later identified him as the reincarnation of a Spirit Transformation expert. His unconscious reliance on past-life memories explained his exceptional cultivation speed, though the Mystery of the Womb prevented him from fully recalling his former identity, memories, and treasures. 208 210

When Chen Changhong sought permission to leave the Guanglin Sect, Guanglin warned him that the South Sea Flood Dragon would face a calamity in River God Town fifty years later.
