Background

Tang Hao is Tang San's father, the son of the former Clear Sky Sect master, and the younger brother of the current sect master. He was once a proud genius of the Clear Sky Sect, but later became a disheveled, alcohol-soaked recluse burdened by his past. His wife, Ah Yin, was a hundred-thousand-year Blue Silver Emperor in human form; her death and the subsequent death of Tang Hao's father remain central to his resentment and self-reproach. 35 140 141

He regards Tang San as the vehicle for the Clear Sky Sect's future and for revenge against Martial Soul Hall. His long-term plan is for Tang San to cultivate Blue Silver Grass first, conceal the Clear Sky Hammer, then eventually add high-age spirit rings to the hammer after reaching Title Douluo. 141 234

Tang Hao entrusted Tang San with a storage Soul Tool while holding off Martial Soul Hall's pursuing Title Douluos. Its contents included Ah Yin's Spirit Bone, diagrams of Clear Sky Sect secret techniques, a map, and a letter intended to guide Tang San's subsequent cultivation and movements. 304 314

Although Tang San initially believed that Tang Hao had merely been delayed or forced into hiding, Tang Hao had already died from the consequences of his battle with Zhou Qiubai and Yang Guyun. The two recovered two inherited Clear Sky Sect Spirit Bones from him and burned his body, leaving no remains to recover. 327 339 474

Pursuit of Zhou Qiubai

Tang Hao tracks Zhou Qiubai outside Suotuo City, corners him, and demands the Floating Cloud Nine Palace Steps and Zhou's sword techniques. He also orders Zhou to swear martial-soul loyalty to Tang San in return for resources and guidance. 35

Zhou Qiubai's Autumn Intent penetrates and dismantles Tang Hao's hammer force from within. Tang Hao answers by detonating his final hundred-thousand-year soul ring and launching a desperate attack intended to take both opponents down with him. 309 310 311

Tang Hao later fails to appear at the meeting place arranged with Tang San. Tang San considers the possibility that his father met with misfortune at the hands of the person Tang Hao had wronged. 370

Death and Spirit Bone Auction

The investigation eventually establishes that Zhou Qiubai and Yang Guyun, who reside at Dugu Manor, are the sellers of Tang Hao's two inherited Spirit Bones. Their public auction of the relics confirms Tang Hao's death and intensifies the Clear Sky Sect's conflict with them. 474 484

The Clear Sky Sect attempts to claim the bones as sect property despite Tang Hao's prior expulsion. Martial Soul Hall ultimately wins the auction, further depriving Tang Hao's family and sect of the inherited relics. 491 492 494
