"You're too slow, and someone needs to stay here and keep watch."

He paused, his gaze sweeping over everyone.

"Kannabi Bridge was just destroyed. There's no guarantee Iwagakure won't send people to investigate or launch a counterattack. Someone has to remain behind and observe."

At those words, the others fell silent.

From a tactical standpoint, what Guy said seemed perfectly reasonable.
