Wishing for a Tail

Son Goku, the one who started it all, stood before him once again. He remained as formidable as ever, sending him flying across half the globe with a single punch. The 10x Kamehameha, Son Goku's most lethal technique, was forced upon him by the Doctor, yet he managed to absorb it through sheer willpower, after which Son Goku was no longer his match.

At that moment, his sister Android 16 stepped in to shield Son Goku, willing to detonate her bomb to protect him. That insufferable Doctor kept barking orders, so I sent him to the heavens with a single strike.

Only then did I understand the source of my emptiness; the power to protect is truly enviable, yet it was all too late to salvage. The little bald one had already been killed by him, and the Earth had been ravaged beyond recognition.

In the end, he wished to conclude this pathetic existence. He feigned absorbing his sister's negligible power to create an opening, allowing Son Goku to finish him off—his final act of protection for the only family he had left.

Son Goku is both the origin and the end.

If there is an afterlife, he wishes to understand the charm of mortal life.

This is the conclusion of GT 17. Many criticize Super 17 as a boss; his setup felt too abrupt, his characterization incomplete, and his emotional depth nonexistent.

It would have been perfect if they had depicted the psychological evolution of 17 from the Z era to the GT era, along with memories of Android 16 and moments shared with his sister.

In summary, the boss designs in GT were perfect, but 64 episodes were too short. The lack of character development made things feel abrupt, and the supporting cast had little screen time, serving mostly as background characters while Son Goku carried the weight of the show.

It would have been much more reasonable to have the others handle the weaker Shadow Dragons while Son Goku and Vegeta dealt with Omega Shenron and Nuova Shenron, rather than forcing Son Goku to do everything alone and end up as a glorified battery.

Back to reality.

Gogito prepared to find Tights; she would certainly be interested in going on a trip. Yes, in Gogito's eyes, it was just a vacation.

As for the Super Saiyan 4 transformation of Son Goku and Vegeta, it would be fine with Vegeta there. Once Vegeta transformed, he would be able to handle a Son Goku who had lost his senses; there would be no problem.

Son Goku used Instant Transmission to reach Gohan.

At that moment, Gohan was telling Videl about past events: Master Roshi, King Piccolo, Korin Tower, Kami, and that World Martial Arts Tournament.

Seeing Son Goku appear, he asked in confusion, "Dad, is something the matter?"

At this point in time, shouldn't his father be training with Vegeta?

Son Goku explained the situation regarding Super Saiyan 4 and asked if Gohan wanted to grow his tail back as well.

Gohan thought it over carefully and decided that having an extra source of power wouldn't be bad, so he agreed to grow his tail out.

Son Goku hurried back, not wanting to keep Shenron waiting too long.

Returning to Vegeta, Son Goku made the wish to Shenron for himself, Vegeta, and Gohan to all grow tails.

Gohan quickly explained, "Saiyans and Earthlings are actually the same; it's just that Saiyans are born stronger. The reason I'm so strong is partly because of my Saiyan bloodline."

"My mom is a pure Earthling, so you don't have to worry about whether we can get married."

Videl asked again, "What is that Super Saiyan 4 thing?"

"Super Saiyan 4 is a transformation that allows one to become much stronger."

"Like this!"

Gohan stood up and transformed into a Super Saiyan, leaving Videl stunned.

Videl had never seen Gohan like this: golden hair, emerald eyes, and a gaze filled with cold intensity.

However, Gohan relaxed his brow, returned to his normal state, and resumed his innocent demeanor.

"This is the Super Saiyan transformation; Super Saiyan 4 is a step further, allowing one to become even more powerful."

Gohan even gestured with his hands, describing the appearance of Super Saiyan 4.

Gohan was already handsome as a Super Saiyan, and hearing that Super Saiyan 4 was even more dashing, Videl felt a bit of anticipation to see Gohan transform into that state.

So, Videl said, "Then hurry up and go train! When you transform into Super Saiyan 4, you absolutely must let me see it!!"

Afterward, Videl headed out, started her aircraft, and flew home.

Just then, Goku brought Vegeta to Gohan via Instant Transmission and said, "Let's go, Gohan. We're going to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber at Kami's Lookout to train, so we won't have to worry about transforming into a Great Ape and destroying the Earth."

Goku grabbed Gohan's shoulder, and they used Instant Transmission to arrive at Kami's Lookout. Piccolo was meditating; sensing the arrival of the three, he stopped his training and opened his eyes. He caught sight of the tails behind the three of them and immediately understood what they intended to do.

"You want to train to transform into Super Saiyan 4, right?"

"That's right. I have to thank you, Piccolo, for telling me about Gogito training for Super Saiyan 4 earlier."

Goku stepped forward and patted Piccolo on the shoulder, grinning brightly.

"Then hurry up and go!"

Piccolo also wanted to see how these three differed from Gogito's Super Saiyan 4.

The three of them quickly reached the bottom of the lookout and entered the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Goku remarked with emotion, "I came in here once when I was a kid. I only stayed for a month, and I nearly went insane."

Gohan added, "When I was little, I trained here for a long time with Uncle Gogito, my father from another timeline, and Uncle Vegeta."

Only Vegeta had never been here before.

Vegeta walked out, turned back to the father and son, and said, "Let me transform first. Otherwise, if you two lose your minds, I won't be able to handle it. Besides, it would be troublesome if the exit gets destroyed."

Having said that, Vegeta flew a bit further away and began to attempt the transformation.

Goku and Gohan hid inside, careful not to look at the Artificial Moon that Vegeta had created.
