The reactions across the various universes were identical; while they were unsure what that divine aura was, they all discovered it originated from Universe 7.
Immediately following this.
Universe 7 announced that the position of Candidate God of Destruction had been filled, and by a mere brat, no less.
The various deities were initially puzzled by the origin of that divine aura, but they were left amused by this maneuver from Universe 7.
Champa, the God of Destruction of Universe 6, openly mocked them, asking if Universe 7 had truly run out of people, to the point of letting a little brat serve as a Candidate God of Destruction.
Quitela, the God of Destruction of Universe 4, also stepped forward to say that if things were truly that dire, his Universe 4 could spare a few people, lest they be laughed out of existence for letting a child inherit such a role.
All eleven Gods of Destruction reacted in the same way; not a single one stood by Beerus, and all were busy mocking him.
This was to be expected, however, as few had held any fondness for Beerus since the incident with the game of hide-and-seek years ago.
Faced with the mockery of his peers, Beerus did not step forward to retort, which only served to excite the other Gods of Destruction further, causing them to laugh even harder.
Given Beerus's personality, if he were mocked, he would surely have snapped back, or even crossed universes to personally pick a fight with the offender.
But since Beerus remained completely unresponsive, they were certain they had hit the nail on the head.
Universe 7 was beginning to decline, and since Beerus could find no other strong candidates for the position, he had no choice but to find a brat and raise him from childhood.
Every God of Destruction was ecstatic.
Little did they know, Beerus had no time to pay attention to this group of gods because he was currently terrified by Louis.
Universe 7 God of Destruction Realm.
It had been a month since Beerus brought Louis back. At this moment, the small child stood in the center of the lake, his body enveloped in a layer of silver radiance.
The shockwaves erupting from him caused the surrounding divine trees to rustle. Beerus and Whis stood nearby, and cold sweat was streaming down Beerus's forehead.
"Kid, is this the Rudimentary Autonomous State?"
"Lord Beerus, what is the Rudimentary Autonomous State? I don't know." Louis swung his small arms and pouted.
"..."
Beerus was stunned. He had just asked Whis to project an image of himself as a child to spar with Louis, never expecting Louis to crush it in a few short moves!
How could this be!
He was a God of Destruction!
He had fought countless battles in his life, and whether in his youth or after ascending to godhood, he had never once tasted defeat against an opponent of the same level.
Moreover, the image summoned by Whis possessed power even greater than Louis's own.
Louis had won despite being the weaker party!!
And the one he defeated was him, a God of Destruction!
It was unbelievable!!
"Whis, did I win?"
Louis turned his head to look at Whis.
Whis wiped the sweat from his face and smiled, "Louis, you won."
"Hahaha, Lord Beerus is no match for me!"
Louis put his hands on his hips, in high spirits.
In truth, his ability to defeat the young Beerus was thanks to the Rudimentary Autonomous State.
It wasn't that "Immunity" was useless, but "Immunity" was merely a passive skill; it prevented him from taking damage, but it could not help him inflict it on others.
The Rudimentary Autonomous State was different!
Upon entering this state, in addition to a massive boost in combat power, he gained the ability to react with complete freedom and natural instinct.
This reaction was monstrous; it allowed him to perceive the opponent's attack patterns in advance.
It wasn't precognition, but rather an instinctive reaction that sensed the opponent's muscle tremors, allowing him to respond accordingly.
In this state, let alone the young Beerus, even the current Beerus—if Louis's power were comparable to his—could be beaten until he coughed up blood, all thanks to the Rudimentary Autonomous State.
Louis stood with his hands on his small waist, laughing heartily, while a black line crossed Beerus's forehead.
"You brat, have you laughed enough!"
"Hahaha!"
"Do you believe I'll beat you up!"
"Blehh, Lord Beerus can't hurt me, I'm not afraid."
Louis was currently a child, and he played up his childish nature to the fullest, wrinkling his nose and sticking his tongue out at Beerus.
"You little brat!"
Beerus scolded him with a laugh.
In the month since he had brought Louis to the God of Destruction Realm, he had long since learned of the uniqueness of Louis's body.
He could ignore every negative influence in the world!
He had asked that brat Louis what was going on, but Louis claimed to know nothing at all.
Since the brat wouldn't talk, Beerus was at a loss. He glanced at Whis beside him, recalling what Whis had said back on Planet Vegeta.
"That divine aura seemed to have erupted near Planet Vegeta. Louis's origins are not simple..."
It was precisely because of this that Beerus had conceived the idea of taking Louis on as a Candidate God of Destruction.
There were two reasons for this.
First, Louis was very special. If Louis were to make any strange moves, having him stay by his side would allow Beerus to react immediately.
Second, the other Gods of Destruction were right; Universe 7 had truly fallen into decline.
Beyond the low average level of its mortals...
As far as Beerus knew, the strongest being in his Universe 7 was actually that trash, Frieza.
What a failure.
In a universe as vast as his, it had come to the point where a piece of trash with a combat power of only 120 million was the strongest.
In fact, the strongest in Universe 7 was not Frieza; there were many hidden bosses who had yet to appear.
Once the later stages arrived!
Any boss pulled out at random would be incomparable to those in other universes.
But Beerus didn't know this; he just wanted a powerful fighter to emerge in his universe.
And Louis was the person he had chosen.
Louis was simply too much of a genius, and he was likely connected to that divine aura from a month ago.
If such a genius could grow up smoothly, Universe 7 would be set.
"Alright, Whis, teach him well. I'm going to sleep."
Looking at the mischievous Louis, Beerus couldn't help but want to give the little guy a beating.
But he couldn't actually hurt Louis, which was a headache.
Whis asked, "Lord Beerus, are you trying to avoid them?"
That divine aura that erupted near Planet Vegeta must have been sensed by all the deities in Zeno's universe.
They would certainly come to investigate!
"You already know, so why bring it up?"
Beerus yawned and vanished directly from the lakeside; he had no desire to entertain that group of Gods of Destruction!
Seeing Beerus disappear, Whis walked over to Louis, patted his small shoulder, and said, "Alright, Lord Beerus has left, yet you're still laughing!"
Louis stopped laughing, only then realizing that Beerus was truly gone.
"Where did Lord Beerus go?"
"He went to slack off. Well, since you have become a Candidate God of Destruction, you must undergo training befitting a God of Destruction."
Slacking off?
Sleeping?
It seems the Dragon Ball plot is about to begin.
Louis narrowed his eyes. The Dragon Ball plot could be said to have started when Beerus ordered Frieza to wipe out the Saiyan race.
However... now that the Saiyan race had been influenced by him and Planet Vegeta had not been destroyed, would Son Goku still be sent to Earth?
