As soon as Louis finished speaking, a cloud of smoke billowed from the broken Z Sword.
"Cough, cough, cough..."
"I'm finally out!"
A lecherous old man dressed in Supreme Kai robes appeared out of thin air beside the lake. He stretched his back, savoring the feeling of freedom.
"W-What... Who is this old man? How did he appear?" Supreme Kai Shin gaped.
"Old man?"
Old Supreme Kai immediately swore at him. "I'm your ancestor!"
As he continued cursing, Old Supreme Kai frowned. "I thought some junior had released me. I didn't expect the Supreme Kais of today to be this weak."
"Ancestor?"
Supreme Kai Shin stared at the clothes Old Supreme Kai wore and the Potara Earrings dangling from his ears.
His body suddenly jolted!
Could this old man be a Supreme Kai from the past?
That had to be it. The young King Kai had said he would release Old Supreme Kai, so he must have meant this old man.
"Are you really my ancestor?"
Supreme Kai Shin was ecstatic, his little fists clenched tight.
Old Supreme Kai glanced at the bean sprout and finally nodded.
"Ancestor, you must be really strong. Could you beat him up for me? He just bullied me!" Supreme Kai Shin felt like he'd found a protector and pointed at Louis.

The moment Supreme Kai Shin finished speaking, pain shot through his head. He clutched it, crouched down, and yelped.
"Shut up! You don't even know who he is. You're a complete failure as a Supreme Kai."
Old Supreme Kai gave Shin a hard flick on the forehead, exasperated with him.
Old Supreme Kai turned to Louis and Whis. "Whis, it's been a long time!"
Whis smiled and nodded. "Old Supreme Kai, it's been a long time."
Old Supreme Kai shifted his gaze to Louis. "So this is the current Candidate God of Destruction!"
"That's right. Lord Beerus found the boy ten years ago, then went into hibernation. I'm taking him out to destroy some planets now."
"It's an honor to meet you, Old Supreme Kai. You can call me Louis."
Louis bowed respectfully.
Old Supreme Kai looked Louis up and down, then praised him. "The power inside you is quite unusual, and you've even grasped the rules of destruction..."
"Your talent is excellent. Wait!!!"
"Louis, what's this ethereal aura around you?"
Old Supreme Kai seemed to realize something. His eyes widened. "The realm of Ultra Instinct?"

Whis had told him that Beerus had only found this boy ten years ago. That meant Whis had trained him for ten years at most.
In just ten years, he'd grasped the rules of destruction and the Angel technique, Ultra Instinct!!!
Calling that talent excellent didn't begin to describe it. It was downright terrifying!
Louis stared at Old Supreme Kai in shock. How frightening. He'd seen right through him with a single glance.

Whis explained.
Old Supreme Kai was still so shocked that he swallowed nervously. Even a rudimentary state was terrifying.
After all, this was a realm even Beerus hadn't mastered!

"Old Supreme Kai, many universes are waiting to see Universe 7 destroyed by Lord Zeno. We'll need your help from here on," Whis said.

Old Supreme Kai was stunned. Even Louis hadn't known about this.
Seeing their expressions, Whis told them what had happened ten years ago.
Back then, a sacred aura had erupted near Planet Vegeta, and Beerus had found Louis and made him a Candidate God of Destruction.
There had been nothing wrong with that.
But the other universes heard that Beerus's chosen successor was a weak little kid.
Given Beerus's poor relations with the other Gods of Destruction, they'd all come out to mock him.
They'd asked if Universe 7 had run out of people, since it had picked a child as its Candidate God of Destruction. What a joke.
Universe 7's mortal level was already near the bottom. Combined with Beerus's terrible decision, this had left Universe 7 in a very difficult position!!!
The Zeno Universe hadn't always had only twelve universes. There had originally been eighteen.
But the other universes had developed poorly, and some had even angered Zeno. They'd been destroyed, leaving only twelve universes.

"That's right. With Louis here, and with your talent, Louis, Universe 7 will soon rise again!"
Old Supreme Kai nodded. That was the first good news he'd heard since breaking free.
Louis, standing beside them, felt a little awkward. Was his talent really that good?
How could it not be?
In ten years, he'd mastered the rules of destruction and reached a rudimentary Autonomous State.
And with his special "Immunity," who in the Zeno Universe had better talent than Louis?
Louis finally spoke. "Old Supreme Kai, the current Supreme Kai still doesn't know anything. I'll have to ask you to teach him."

After all, Old Supreme Kai was no longer the one holding the position. The universe needed a Supreme Kai to manage it.
As they talked, the conversation turned to Shin, and he couldn't help freezing.

Old Supreme Kai smacked Supreme Kai Shin on the head again and sighed. "Sigh, this is all Beerus's fault. This bean sprout doesn't know anything, but I can't really blame him."
Old Supreme Kai then told them about Majin Buu.
Hearing about the past, Supreme Kai Shin's eyes reddened slightly. So his ancestor had known about Majin Buu all along.
"Junior, from now on, I'll teach you!"
Old Supreme Kai glanced at Supreme Kai Shin, then at Louis. Louis was the key to everything right now.
Just imagining the shocked looks on the other universes' Supreme Kais when they saw Louis made him happy.
"Old Supreme Kai, now that you're out, I'll leave Shin in your hands. I need to go destroy a batch of planets."
Destroy planets?
Supreme Kai Shin's eyes widened. He angrily protested, "Why destroy planets? No! If you destroy planets for no reason, how are you any different from Majin Buu?!"
"Ow!"
Supreme Kai Shin's head hurt again. That was the third time Old Supreme Kai had hit him!
"Ancestor, why'd you hit me?"
"What the hell do you know?"
Old Supreme Kai finally began teaching Shin the basics of the divine offices in the Zeno Universe.
Louis glanced at Whis. His task in the Supreme Kai Realm was done, and it was time to leave.
Whis understood Louis's expression. He swung his staff, and rainbow light enveloped them both as they shot into the sky.
