When Gaino heard this, he hurriedly said, "I'm glad you're satisfied."
But Beerus changed the subject. "It's a shame. I won't be able to eat such delicious food anymore."
"Why is that?" Gaino asked.
"Because I'm going to destroy Planet Vegeta," Beerus replied.
Gaino and Laiya's eyes widened.
So after all that work, it had all been for nothing.
Summoning his courage, Gaino asked, "May I ask why you want to destroy Planet Vegeta?"
"Oh, that? Your King Vegeta offended me. I asked him to give me the most comfortable pillow in All Universe, but he kept the most comfortable one for himself and gave me the second-best. That was a great disrespect to a god, so I decided to destroy Planet Vegeta."
"But everything you did just now pleased me, especially your barbecue. It really satisfied me, so now I don't want to destroy Planet Vegeta anymore. Ah, what a dilemma! What a dilemma!" Beerus said, clutching his head and shaking it.
"Hey, Whis, think of a way to satisfy both sides."
Whis replied, "That's Lord Beerus's own decision. There's nothing I can do. I can't influence Lord Beerus's thoughts."
Just then, Gaino said, "My lords, I have a compromise. Would you like to hear it?"
"Quick, let's hear it," Beerus said.
Gaino said, "How about this? Since King Vegeta disrespected Lord Beerus, we have no objection to Lord Beerus destroying Planet Vegeta. But could you let me take a few people off this planet first? Then Lord Beerus can destroy Planet Vegeta. Would that be acceptable?"
"Everyone says Saiyans don't care about family, but I didn't expect you to have people you're attached to. Fine, take as many as you want. But King Vegeta and Planet Vegeta must still be destroyed."
"I promise I'll only take the people who matter to me. Thank you, Lord Beerus."
"Good. I'll give you one month. Planet Vegeta will be destroyed in a month."
With that, Whis took Beerus and flew away in a streak of light.
When the God of Destruction Beerus was finally gone, Gaino breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed Planet Vegeta still couldn't escape its fate.
Laiya asked, "Brother Gaino, what kind of god is the God of Destruction? Is he very powerful?"
"Laiya, the God of Destruction is one of the most powerful beings in this universe. To him, our Planet Vegeta is insignificant. He could turn it to dust with a flick of his finger."
"He's that powerful? That damn King Vegeta actually dared to offend the God of Destruction. Was he asking to die? Now he's taken Planet Vegeta down with him."
"Enough, Laiya. Our parents should be back soon. We'll wait for them and tell them the news."
"Okay."
Before long, Bum and Tasha returned, accompanied by two other Saiyans.
Seeing Gaino and Laiya, Bum walked up to them and introduced the newcomers. "This is Uncle Bardock, and this is Aunt Gine. The baby in Aunt Gine's arms is Kakarot."
Gaino thought, The child of destiny has finally made his entrance.
Gaino and Laiya hurriedly greeted Bardock and Gine. "Hello, Uncle Bardock. Hello, Aunt Gine."
Bardock said, "Bum, are these your daughter and son? Good—they're both clearly elite Saiyans."
After the greetings, Bum said, "We need to discuss our next mission. Gaino, Laiya, go play somewhere for a while."
Gaino wanted to speak, but he opened his mouth and then stopped himself.
Bum and the others went inside to discuss the mission.
That evening, Bardock and Gine left. Gaino and Laiya went to see Bum and Tasha. Before Gaino could say anything, Bum spoke first. "Gaino, Laiya, we have to go on a mission. You'll have to cook for yourselves over the next few days."

Three days later, Bum returned, but Bardock was injured. He had been struck by the Phantom Demon Fist, and as soon as he returned to Planet Vegeta, he went home.
That evening, Gaino and Laiya told Bum and Tasha that the God of Destruction Beerus intended to destroy Planet Vegeta. They were both stunned by the news.

The next day, Bardock came to see Bum and said, "I have a premonition that Frieza is going to make a move against us."
