Background

Ming Yue was born into the Qiangu Family. He developed unusually quickly, surpassed his tutor's knowledge by age four, and devoted much of his childhood to the family library. By age six, he was notably pale and delicate in appearance due to his indoor life, while his reserved temperament and intellectual focus set him apart from other children. 2

At his martial soul awakening, Ming Yue manifested the unfamiliar Void Archives rather than the Qiangu Family's inherited Coiling Dragon Staff. His Innate Soul Power tested at only level one, prompting immediate disappointment from Qiangu Dieting and a decline in his standing within the family. His mother distanced herself, Qiangu Dongfeng avoided him, and Qiangu Qingfeng publicly called him a disgrace. 4

The Leng sisters remained close to him throughout this period. Their support enabled him to pursue soul-guidance research and investigate the Void Archives rather than accept his family's judgment. 4

His devotion to the Leng sisters is one of his defining traits. Leng Yaozhu's defeat and injuries trigger the full activation of his talents, because he recognizes that knowledge without power cannot protect those important to him. 6 He is gentle and affectionate toward people he accepts as family, including the Leng sisters, the Plane Spirit, the Demon Empress, and Lan Fozi. 17 34 37 64
