Jade Scale Seven-Absolute Flower
Not long after Li Fei and Dugu Bo left, a group arrived at the mountain ravine.
If Li Fei had still been there, he would definitely have recognized the identities of these two people.
One of them was none other than his defeated opponent, Tainuo!
The other was an elderly man with white hair all over his body and the build of an old gorilla—Tainuo's father, Tai Tan!
The two had come from the Strength Clan and headed straight into the depths of Sunset Forest to hunt a suitable Soul Beast for Tainuo's fifth Soul Ring. Drawn by the fierce sounds of battle here, they hurried over to investigate.
Now that they had arrived, all that remained was the corpse of a Flood Dragon that had been skinned and had its tendons removed.
The combatants were nowhere to be seen.
"The commotion stopped so long ago. As expected, the battle is already over."
"Its head was smashed to pieces. This was damage caused by a club. It seems the person who fought this beast was a powerful Soul Master who used a staff."
Tai Tan analyzed in a deep voice.
"Father, could this be some kind of giant python? But it doesn't look like one!" Tainuo shook his head and sucked in a breath of cold air at the sight of such terrifying damage.
Tai Tan shook his head. "No, this is a Flood Dragon. As for what kind, I'm not too sure."
"Still, that strike looked like it carried the power of a Soul Saint, perhaps even a Soul Douluo. Incredible. Otherwise, it would have been impossible to smash a Flood Dragon's head to this extent!"
Tai Tan said with a solemn expression.
"Father, forget about that. Hurry up and find my Soul Beast. I still need to go back to Blue Tyrant Academy and get my revenge!" Tainuo said impatiently.
Besides, this really had little to do with him.
The Flood Dragon was dead, and everything valuable on its body had been taken. What remained was worth little, and they did not care for such paltry gains. More importantly, it would be troublesome to carry out.
Although they had Soul Tools, those were meant for storing more valuable items, not trash.
"Fine." After looking around and finding nothing else, Tai Tan left with Tainuo.
Elsewhere, under Dugu Bo's lead, Li Fei arrived at an extremely secluded place. It was even more remote than the mountain ravine!
Hah, if I had to search for a place this remote by myself, who knows how long it would take.
He had no idea that Tai Tan and Tainuo had reached the mountain ravine after they left. Otherwise, he could have dealt with the hidden danger of the Strength Clan on the spot.
If this Soul Douluo Tai Tan died, the rest of the Strength Clan would be nothing to worry about.
The only concern was that the other three clans might join forces to investigate the truth and attack them in order to avenge Tai Tan.
Whether it would be troublesome depended entirely on whether Li Fei wanted Dugu Bo to step in and wipe out those clans.
"This is my garden."
Dugu Bo said.
Ahead lay a mass of green poisonous fog.
A great many white bones lay around the fog.
Some belonged to Soul Beasts, while others belonged to humans.
The plants within the range of the poisonous fog had basically all died. Those that remained alive were all highly toxic plants.
To these poisonous plants, the toxic fog was practically a supreme tonic.
"There's another world within this poisonous fog?" Li Fei asked, pretending not to know.
"Haha, that's right. There's a whole other world inside. It will definitely amaze you. Come."
Dugu Bo laughed. With a wave of his hand, the dense poisonous fog opened a path leading inward.
The two stepped inside.
The poisonous fog automatically sealed off the path they had passed through.
"This poisonous fog is so terrifying. I imagine that most people below the rank of Title Douluo would suffer if they touched it?" Li Fei asked.
"Mm. To protect my Back Garden, I went to great lengths. But the root cause of this poisonous fog is that flower. Even now, I don't know what it is. Do you know?"
Dugu Bo pointed ahead. Not far away, within the poisonous fog, stood a seven-colored flower that radiated a chilling toxicity.
"My poison is certainly powerful, but if it remains outside for too long, its potency will diminish over time. Yet with the help of this seven-colored flower, not only does its toxicity not decline, it can even be strengthened and stabilized. Otherwise, my Back Garden would not have been so peaceful before."
"The white bones outside belonged to Soul Master teams and Soul Beasts fortunate enough to find this place. They wanted to enter and covet this land, but they were poisoned to death."
"Furthermore, I keep poisonous Soul Beasts within this toxic fog. The weakest are a thousand years old, while the strongest have reached ten thousand years."
"Within this poisonous fog, even an ordinary Title Douluo who tried to force his way through might perish here if he was careless."
The corners of Dugu Bo's mouth curved upward as he spoke of his proud accomplishment.
Before long, they saw the poisonous Soul Beasts kept here. However, upon seeing Dugu Bo, they all retreated.
If Li Fei had been alone, they would certainly have swarmed him.
"Old Poison, this is truly impressive." Li Fei gave him a thumbs-up, fully satisfying his ego.
"Hahahaha!!!"
"Come, see if you recognize it."
Dugu Bo laughed heartily, his sense of satisfaction thoroughly fulfilled. Soon, the two stopped not far from the seven-colored flower.
With Dugu Bo present, there was no need to worry about anything.
"The poison of this seven-colored flower is even stronger than that of the Seven-Colored Centipede Flood Dragon. Even I don't dare touch it lightly, so we'd better not get too close."
Standing ten meters away from the seven-colored flower, Dugu Bo spoke with a trace of apprehension.
"Seven colors, highly poisonous, and a flower."
"Could it be the Jade Scale Seven-Absolute Flower recorded in ancient texts?"
Li Fei fell into deep thought, then spoke as though he had suddenly realized something.
"The Jade Scale Seven-Absolute Flower?" Dugu Bo was startled.
Li Fei said, "Yes. If it truly is the Jade Scale Seven-Absolute Flower, then this is extraordinary. It's an immortal herb. Eating it can make one stronger, but ordinary people generally won't survive after consuming it."
"An immortal herb?" Dugu Bo asked curiously.
"I don't even dare eat this thing now. I doubt anyone in this world would dare eat it either." Dugu Bo's lips twitched.
"That's because they haven't found the proper way to consume it. This thing needs to be refined into a Pill in order to bring out its full medicinal potency."
"Little Monster, you're an alchemist. Can you do it?"
"Even picking this thing is troublesome."
Dugu Bo said.
"Of course I have a way. If I refine it into a Pill for you to take, it may help your Soul Power break through to level ninety-five, perhaps even ninety-six. It could also bring unprecedented improvement to your poison techniques, improve your physique, and raise the upper limit of your future Soul Power!"
"It depends on whether you're willing to pull it out. If you do, the poisonous power of the fog here will decline drastically and it won't be able to maintain its balance."
Li Fei said.
Hearing this, Dugu Bo was tempted.
"If you can succeed, I'm willing."
Dugu Bo nodded.
Nothing was more important than increasing his cultivation.
"Once an immortal herb is uprooted, it is generally difficult for it to survive. That's a problem." Li Fei frowned.
In truth, he could preserve it with his own abilities, but he said this only to coax Dugu Bo into revealing the Wish-Fulfilling Treasure Pouch in his possession.
